I actually want to stop with the promotional materials, It's a lot today they released, anymore and we won't need to watch the drama. They really realeased everything at once.

Haha, I think sending their children to be raised by grandparents is kind of irrelavent to the drama. Though, I think they may send them to grandparents bc 1. selfishness, they don't want to deal with their kids while having a life 2. they are barely surviving in the city so they send the kids. Eitherway, who suffers most is the kids and grandparents, they are of old age and they still need to raise kids which takes a toll on their health.

It is!! I think intl fans don't care or understand the importance of ratings and viewership for cdrama, which is a blessing haha bc they can just enjoy the drama itself without worries. However, it really affects everything!!

Higher ratings and viewerships means the capabilities of the actors/actresses. Their resources will become better and increase, reputable script writers and directors will want to work with the actors/actresses. Sponsorships only want to invest bc they have the trust/confidence that the drama will do well bc of the leads. They will have better script offers and even movie offers. Also, brands would want to work with the celebs, their status rise too (e.g., they get invited to events or variety shows and their seating arrangement will be more in front). Also, bad results will be used as examples of ridicule by antis

yea that's what i'm thinking too. Like lets say she was 18 and maybe he was 20-21? so a decade would mean she's 28 and he's 30-31? Age gap is much smaller, but I actually enjoyed the large age gap in the novel haha

I think the decade has changed innocent uni days HT. I mean in the real world in the business world, it’s not always black-and-white and I’m sure people use each other for benefits and advantages which in the novel it does show that

We’ll see because the screenwriter is from only for love. I’m more worried about the competition. There’s a new drama airing on June 26, and that could be a dark horse. But I should just enjoy the drama instead of worrying about the competition and the ratings and such, it just sucks that all these actually matter in Chinese entertainment

Yes I agree. That was my favourite line too and he pulled through during their old age. That line portrayed his values and belief in life and love

If he already had a crush on her during their school days, then doesn’t that mean that when they meet up in a decade, he would like her even more and faster to, but in the novel they broke up because she fell for him in love while his perspective of love is different from hers. Unless maybe even in school days when he liked her and wanted her to be his GF he still wouldn’t be in like in love

Yea exactly. I don’t think it’s necessary to make his character like that. But again it’s for comedic, relief, and entertainment

I get it’s hard to translate HT’s character onto screen because in the novel we can read his behaviour sometimes his thoughts, his actions and stuff while if it translates on screen, it might make him look boring

7 is in her element she’s good with romcom. I actually really liked HT in the novel. I just hope book fans aren’t disappointed

Oh yea it’s definitely more approachable. He liked her initially during university days, so that means that when they meet again in a decade, he should still have at least memories and feelings for her versus in the novel where it’s kind of platonic

I watched the two trailers that they just released and I can really see that the dynamic of HT’s character in the novel is really changed. HT is a bit more warm versus Stoic and Has a tiny bit of comedic side

Yea at least it’s short. However, the drama has a huge fan base from s1 so the drama already won from that. It’s ok, just manifest it. We’ve waited for abay for ages, with the heavy competition as seems like there’s no good time to air and delaying it even further will be worse
