see, this is where i'm not sure, because I don't want a critique of the system mixed in my romances. That's like mixing vegetables with ice cream.

I have an aversion to "strong woman" FL's. But I find it really easy to watch when this FL does it, she retains her demure/vulnerable/cute. Even when he's laid up in bed, and she's making the money and the decisions, she treats him like a man, and never disrespects him or tries to one-up him. I love her character for this.

Worth it. This is the kind of show that makes everybody on the c-drama planet stop what they're doing and hold their breath til it's over. I can barely function between eps.

I was kind of liking LYF, but I had to bail really early on, because I FELL HARD for the white haired snakey guy, and he wasn't gonna get her, so i wasn't gonna watch his train wreck unfold.

Good evening bitches (and i of course say that with the utmost respect). Today is my friday, I am done with work for the week YASSS. I've been putting myself to bed early, and waking up to new eps in the morning. But tonight is my friday, and I can stay up late and partayyy. I got my fried chicken. I got my strawberry shortcake. My tasty beverage. Got my lounging togs on. My electric blanket is cozied up. And i go to kiss to browse things to watch while I'm waiting for our eps to drop.

And I'll be danged. There is suddenly nothing to watch. Anybody wanna catch up on G2G while they wait? Yeah lolll NO. Watch Arthur Chen in a 1970's NO. Or Yu Ning in an ensemble romcom NO.

YOu guys ling he is the hottest man i've ever seen --- when he's devious, dangerous, pissed off, annoyed, secretive, deadly. When he has pale skin and blood red lips and long hair. I cannot get it out of my mind. FINALLY he took another role like the SOKP role. Ling He honey, I don't need you to have range, I know you can act you don't have to prove anything. Just have long hair and do that thing where you get hella mad. I LOVE IT I LOVE IT gahhhhhhhhhh.

FINALLY A REAL DRAMA

I watch stuff I don't like all the time. MDL is for discussion about dramas, it's not a fan page. So I don't like being bullied for having a differing opinion than the popular take, and talking about it (lookin at you ABAY fans). I think people should be able to do that without being eaten alive for it.

THAT HAVING BEEN SAID. You'd HAVE to be a troll to throw a bunch of shade at this drama at this stage. I saw a one star review? Give me a break. As if this is worse than a crappy short length? I don't think so. That's not honest criticism, that's just cope and seethe.

This thing is gonna pan out to be somewhere in the 8-10 range, no matter which way you slice it.

How bout some love for Yue Yang who plays Uncle Zhao. So much fun to watch, he's great in this role.

That sounds absolutely divine omg.... gutting a bird is pretty hard to do the first few times and it does get easier with practice. But yeah, bravery is required to work yourself up to being able to do it at first.

there's no use in arguing with people so proud they take offense over minor perceived slights and invent the intentions of people they don't know to strawman them. The aggro runs deep when out of everything to take offense to in this world, it's something as minor as this. When we all enjoy the show and the actors, this is eating your own. well that's the only part of this drama i'd leave out. Even the ML doesn't like them. it doesn't enhance the show to suddenly evoke that image or remind someone of that smell imo. K-dramas do something similar by always telling poop jokes in romances. I don't know why they do this.

Then you're one of the one-in-four or one-in-five who like it. Why take offense. I like ramen with mayonnaise on it, but i'm not gonna glaze it in a show that's clearly going to be international. If someone else doesn't like it, what's that got to do with me? I don't even know you, it's obvs not personal. I like liver too, but most people find it disgusting, and that's just a fact. I meet people all the time who like liver or who like intestines, but there's way way more people out there who have a visceral reaction of disgust to it. Why would I feature it in a romance drama.

My only extremely minor gripe about it is like dude. stop trying to sell me on pork intestines. it's a revolting food to most people, doesn't matter how sexy you try to make it look. enough with the closeup shots of it.

i'm withholding final judgement until we see how the last 10 eps play out... pearl girl, speed and love, when destiny brings the demon and a journey to love started out good too, and then they capsized at the 2/3 mark. I freakin hope like crazy this is a satisfying story all the way through. But so far i'm 10/10 on it.
