I didn't know how deep of a problem victim-blaming was until I met this girl who moved in next door to us for a few months to get her shit together. She was 19, thought she was tough and sexy, used to wear duct tape over her n*pples and call it "dressed", had a mohawk, hung out with a bad crowd. Then they denied her painkillers and tossed her out on her ass with the advice that if she was in pain she should take an asprin.

I was f*cking LIVID. I filed a complaint through email and in person to the department supervisor, and one of the nurses was fired over it. But they all should have been fired over it.

Dude, he probably had her drive, then when she got pulled over, he had to throw a bunch of money around to keep his name out of it, he told her "don't worry I'll cover all this".... now she and the bribed cops/media/witnesses are the only ones who know what happened.... then later he sees her with another man and thinks "f*ck dis bish" and tries to saddle her for the cost, not just of the DUI settlement stuff, but for the moneys he had to pay out to erase himself from the incident too.... all the bribe moneys. And that's why it was for half a mil. Not because that's what it cost to settle her DUI, but because that's how much it cost HIM, total. He was gonna pay it until he found out she got with someone else. Then he retroactively billed her for it out of spite.
