how tf is bad story bad production and bad directing HER fault...why is it only HER fault and not ml's if there's…
Right, like the same way i just know you're an under-30 female bully with narcissistic tendencies, a persecution complex, and an iq lower than 110 who thinks winning an intellectual dispute means getting the last word in.
how tf is bad story bad production and bad directing HER fault...why is it only HER fault and not ml's if there's…
This isnt the first time ive seen her kill the romance in a romance. Look at her in their first non-drunk kiss scene. You can see her acting everything with a precision from doing everything exactly on cue. Shes not thinking about the ML or the role shes playing, shes just thinking about the cameras and the director.
With her, the caliber of production has nothing to do with the fact that while she can act many emotions, "in love" is not one of them.
This is obviously IMO.
I dont understand why some mdl users think that the way to state their opinion is to attack someone elses. Why not just be direct about your own opinion, and say that you like her acting.
Im personally, after seeing her in several dramas, more inclined to believe that she gets a shit tier caliber production, because that is what her level of acting warrants.
Fuck the pearl clutchers and the autistic screeching banshees. They know full well what theyre watching, but they…
Like i said....they may be a lot of things.
But theyre not woke.
They may be totally effed up in a bunch of other ways. The whole world knows it. Its not some big secret the way they run their country, although they like to think it is. HOWEVER. They arent woke. Their entertainment industry isn't infected with woke mind virus.
As a result, their entertainment is enjoying a greater degree of popularity in current year than ever before.
It used to be the opposite, kdramas were more popular. But theyve been selling out to woke investment money. As a result, theyre losing viewers while cdramas are gaining viewers.
Fuck the pearl clutchers and the autistic screeching banshees. They know full well what theyre watching, but they watch it anyways, just to get high on their own moral outrage. Then come in comments and sermonize and act all shocked.
Fortunately they dont tend to affect ratings too much, because they are a small abnormal fraction of mdl users, as can be attested by Hidden Love still sitting at like a 9 or 9.2
Wokeness in dramas is directly proportionate to how much western investment is involved in them. Just look at K dramas vs C dramas. China may be a lot of messed up, but one thing theyre not is woke. Thats because they dont give two shits about western investment money. Whereas k-drama industry is clearly selling itself out to netflix and disney and god knows who else.
China knows what korea has yet to learn... nobody likes wokeness or woke police, its just a current form of oppression. Get woke, go broke. Just because these fringe weirdos screech the loudest, doesnt mean they have majority support. Actual ratings and actual profits tell the real story, not autistic keyboard crusaders who have injected 3rd wave feminist tiktok koolaid and gone totally cult.
So both CDramas and KDramas are getting shittier and shittier and gorging on its own shit.
Idk how you can say that after story of kunning palace, legend of shen li, and hidden love. C-dramas have always had their fair share of shit. But there are always many gems mixed in, and c-dramas are less afraid of taking risks, less afraid of going too dark, or too fluffy, or too batshit crazy.
As a whole, Kdramas have become less imaginative over time, more formulaic, and less substantive. I hope that trend changes because i love kdramas and wish there were more good ones coming out. I can watch 10 cdramas just waiting for one good kdrama to drop. Sure, 5 or 6 out of those 10 will be crap, but some are not bad at all.
I haven't watched this yet, but i don't understand what you mean. Aren't they a couple? Isn't there meant to be…
Just for the general public who might happen to read this comment thread, i am enthusiastically against toot's ideal vision of relationship conduct and societal norms, and i am female. I love a man who pursues a woman and is willing to be a little bit aggressive, but this is with the caveat that a man should also have a competent EQ level, and should know when a woman is truly attracted to him, and when shes not, and should be able to read her facial cues and body language to know, and know when no means no. Which is easy enough for most men to judge instinctively... unless you are autistic, and cant read nonverbal cues. And need people to give you explicit instructions like a fuckin retard. In which case, you should only date other autists, who themselves are used to giving and recieving explicit directions like a retard. And you can have a happy retard-love together.
Non-retard men should go with their instincts, and be like Leo Yang, Yu Ning, Zo In Sung, Wallace Chung, He Yu or Yan Zi Xian.
If a man is so dumb he cant figure out when a woman is hot for him and when shes not, and needs flippin verbal directions, I'm not interested. Toot is spouting off a bunch of insane 3rd wave feminist liberal tiktok muh 51 genders metoo brainwash crap, imo. And theres women out there like me hoping men dont read toots crap and think all women are like that, because were not.
(And when i say 'retard', tis not because i dont know any autists and am a mean person. It is because my sibling and my bff are both autists, and i dont have any big problem with autist retarditry, and am just being brutally honest and not sugar coating anything, because i dont think autists need special treatment like delicate flowers.)
Ok just finished my 4th rewatch on kisskh, and this time i had to watch it on my tablet. The subs were fixed all the way up until like maybe the last 5? episodes. The cave scene was fine. Are the actually going through the show and fixing the subs or was it because inwatched on the tablet?
(Also, it was just as good as the last 4 watches, still worthy of my ONLY 10/ 10 ever.)
i watched the first episode , why is this series so overly dramatic ?
Because the story and the actors are good and the budget is somewhat bigger than your average c-drama... so this is a production like Flower of Evil, or Rise of the Phoenixes that can afford to take itself seriously. The tone is meant to be dark and dramatic. The art director was the same one that did Eternal Love of Dream and Wolf. The director did ELOD, The Long Ballad, Starry Love, Blue Whisper, and Ashes of Love. I think this is his "darkest" drama yet, at least of the ones I've seen. But my point is the drama takes itself seriously because the people involved in making it are serious people who others generally take seriously.
I'd say if you don't like it after about 3-5 episodes then just drop. If you are intrigued, then stay and finish. It isn't for everyone. Those of us who like it, love it. But a lot of people have come through here who found it boring, annoying, frustrating, or toxic. And it's just a waste of 40 hours of your life you can't get back if you don't like it.
Maybe its purposely ambiguous. The princess never develops a crush on any guy in the whole show. There are a few times in the beginning of the show where the look she gives Ning'er is really intense. And in the original timeline, when the Princess first meets her dressed as a boy, she gets a crush on her.
The only thing that would make me think she doesn't have a lesbian thing for Ning'er, is the fact that she's supportive of Ning's relationships and her emotions about men.
But I'm doing my 4th rewatch right now, and I'm only on ep 7. I'll pay more attention to the scenes with Ning and the princess, to see if maybe the director is trying to hide something deeper in the drama when it comes to that.
Are you asking if the princess is a closet lesbian?
In i think episode 2 or 3, Ning recalls in a flashback that the first time she met the princess in the original timeline, she had snuck out of the house in boys clothes to see the lantern festival. While she was there, she happened upon the princess as her dress was accidentally catching on fire, and Ning put it out. The princess developed a crush on her, thinking she was a guy. When the princess found out she was a girl in disguise, she got mad and it set the two of them off on the wrong foot. That's why in that episode at first she says she doesn't want to go to the lantern festival at all.
Strange, cool plot. I was completely mesmerised by this drama all the way up till about the last 3-4 episodes, and then it kind of dropped off. The kisses and romance were decent, very decent.... but way too tame for me. In the end, I didn't enjoy this show ONLY because A) The ending was a little slapdash and some plot holes were implausible and B) Not enough romance. The ML and FL were firey together, they could have done a lot more with that pairing.
I gave it a 7.5 because since it skimps a bit on the romance, it doesn't meet my rewatch threshold, and I only give 8 and above to shows I'd rewatch. But this is a very very good one-time-watch.
