In this drama there is an extraordinarily strong character, no, not the ML.
It;s the police officer with 4 daughters. THAT is an extraordinarily strong person. His dedication for his family and the love he has for his 4 daughters is off the charts.
THAT is a perfect example of a very very strong person.
Not some loud mouthed clown shouting abut using boxes of condoms to fk their brains out.

from a neutral POV, the strong one is the ML. He had qualities that are cherished and valued and at no point he needed FL to make and do anything for him. the ML is dream of every women.

The ML in Tempted was trash and the drama let's the viewers know he is trash. There is no confusion in that analysis between us.

He was trash because of all the things, not just one of the things he was doing. That drama juxtaposes ML life style and FL's life style to viewers.

Regarding Cdrama romances, they have gone to shit far longer than Kdrama romances.
in Cdramas, the FL is so naive that she does not realize why a guy has been grabbing her bums dozen times a day, she thinks it's brotherly. Yeah, in Cdramas the FL are naive by design, that way every dodgy interactions they have with other men is due to her being naive. In cdramas married FL's spend night with other men in same room and it's all kosher,

LOL, there is a recent cdrama called 'The Princess Royal'. Has one of the trashiest FL's ever. She literally keeps her ex lover next to her even after she gets married to the ML.

And the whole tone of Tempted regarding the ML is that he was doing nasty. That drama did not celebrate the ML's sexual activities. That drama knew it's ML was trash, even the ML knew he was trash and the viewers were supposed to know he was trash.

The viewers watching Tempted did not cheer on ML fking around.

THAT is the main difference.

And even in that drama, the ML did not put down woman he shagged in front of other people by making fun of them.
He was trash but he was far better when it comes to NOT humiliating opposite sex.

It's all joking in Kdrama land when men get beaten up and sexually made fun off..

if kdrama romances had ML's fking around and FL's were all pure virgins, the 'its for men' reason would never be accepted. these dramas would be trashed and cancelled.

'its for women' is remotely not acceptable as a reason when the male characters have been reduced to dildos.
