I'm really upset that this great drama keeps going down in ratings. This score is not indicative of the quality of the acting, action and intricate storyline.
Ep. 8 Another corpse needs to be examined. The art of the steal helps our heroes hold off the family members who want to bury the secrets quickly. The body shows signs of asphyxiation by no ligature marks on the neck. The male lead is still on the wanted list. I wonder why he doesn't get himself one of those skin masks to he doesn't have to constantly hide himself, but then we wouldn't be able to enjoy the handsome Wang Xing Yue's countenance.
Now she's sorry but he's on his last legs with Frost in his veins. The mystery to finds Yesha leads us to the slaughter of a whole town on the border. Someone is issueing death sentences from behind a mask. This is getting a beloved teacher killed in the most tasteless way. His Majesty has a short fuse and demands an answer in a month. Who will close the case and who will be exonerated? I guess it won't be our lead because this drama is called The Wanted Detective.
Tunnel Vision could be the title of ep. 6. The perpetrator is hell-bent on needling everyone including himself. Then we have another cliffhanger with the FL believing she has now become a widow due to her ridiculous belief the man she has loved for ten years killed her father and countless others. The little poisoner is totally distraught at what he has done to the hero who has saved his life several times. Then there is Zhuge, whose spiteful jealousy of just not being good enough is becoming farcical.
Plenty of action by the female lead while the Detective is suffering periods of weakness from the poison. The maidens are sacrificial lambs to some kind of candle-carrying cult. Another guy in a wheelchair who is evil. This is getting to be a regular trope in Cdramas. I'm five episodes in and it's great why is the rating dropping like flies.
After three years they meet again and he looks hotter than ever. She's cold to his charms still suspecting him to be the Tailor. Still she only wounds and poisons him enough to barely keep him alive. After hearing his theory that another murder of a bride will take place tonight she sets out to find he is good at predictions and that probably means he is not the murderer of her father and the others. Now what? They've know each other for ten years, they got married and she still doesn't trust him. This woman has issues.
This drama comes with strings attached. I guess you could call this a boating accident, what with three corpses and one gasping fish on board. The newly weds are also in a pickle what with the bride fainting in disbelief over her speechless, blood-soaked groom.
Just started this and I like the look of it, but our ML is being inconsistent when he disapproves of one of his men gambling and immediately does so himself. Then he sets up an elaborate scheme to keep a Minister safe from a ruthless killer and does not anticipate a very predictable method of doing away with someone. He needs to do better if I'm going to be impressed with this drama.
Buddies join up to travel together with various motives. Great banter as they get to know each other. Not much fun lying next to a corpse in this weather the least her savior can do is tell her his name.
Wow, this is what I've been waiting for. Intruiging story with great characters, great action by all: one is untouchable, the other is a rotor blade and she is the unbreakable one.
Wow...I should stop betting with myself if a drama -- that started out with some promise -- is simply going to…
You really are swimming agaist the tide here with your review of this drama. That said, there certainly was much to enjoy about ADWAD. It cracked me up for many of the episodes at the start and then it seem to peter out.
Corpus Delecti! What has that blind prince been hiding? All the princes are acting up. Starting with the most insignificant who has to rely on a pinky swear to get the woman he wants. The gross prince who treat women like sh*t. The ineffective prince who has mommy issues. The prince with the best smile who has married the woman he wants but neither kisses now undresses her on their wedding night instead they decide to 'go to sleep'. How exciting!
Grief, Injustice and Subterfuge is the name of the game here. Characters doing the dirty work for the powerful are paying the price as per usual. Question: How the handsome blind guy get his sight back? It must have been left on the cutting room floor.
The Tiger Tally returns with commander's corpse. A father didn't heed his son's warnings and now we wait to see who caused his demise. Meanwhile, Wan in busy steaming bones to continue to explore the mysteries surrounding Prince Jin and her father's demise. The episode started with the happy announcement of many nuptials to come and ended with the court in the grip of suspicion.
Prince Cheng tries to dress up rape with candles and flowers but ends up being the Pin-Up. Chi lets fly grim intent. This time there was no corpse to ruin their first kiss. This must have distracted her for curing the blind prince. She better get to it or Ning will suffer from guilt and Yan Li will be inconsolable.
Sacrificial lamb pretty boy Yan Li almost got skewered by the perpetrator who was fascinated by his unblemished body. No wonder Ning's got a thing for him. The painter runs out of options, Mr. Li says 'case closed, Chi chases after provisions while Wan sets her sight on a dreamboat.
Wait a Sect, it doesn't seem healthy to join an organization the focuses on human sacrifice and makes you take a piece of your heart to leave their auspices. The member/victim who was interrogated in jail is a good actor (saw him in other dramas). I'm sure Wan will get to the bottom of this case but why bother grilling a fish if you're not going to eat it. I hate all that court prattle and intrigue and wish it would just go away. Glad to see that Li was not flayed and that Ning disolves in tears when she finds him alive in the brothel.
