Casual watchers rarely pay attention to the casts and directing team, so many dramas rely on promotion to get the word out and reach international audiences.
While some dramas do well without promotion, the amount of success with promotion couldn't be compared. This also uses an original script, meaning there's no promotion from existing works.
Seriously, barely anything, even from IQIYI's social media accounts.
Xiao Yao is also an S+ tier drama, meaning that the production was very high budget, but if they don't use the resources well, then it will be no different from a normal drama with poor promotion.
I just hope they will release some form of promotion soon and won't cram everything the month before it releases -- or even worse, have little to no promotion at all. 😭😭😭
From what I know (correct me if I'm wrong), actors will say their lines during filming, and those will be used, however some specific scenes require dubbing for various reasons such as cencorship, improving audio and other reasons relating to the storyline. This shouldn't take too long though, as it's not for every line, only specific parts.
Unfettered has really similar meanings to the Chinese title Xiao Yao. Don't know exactly how I feel about it, the meaning is nice, but it sounds kinda... weird??? Better than that Peri Peri one tho 🤣🤣

Hello wonderful people!!! It has come to my attention that there have been a few hate accounts that seem dedicated to put down/criticise Neo on everything he does. MDL is supposed to be a safe and friendly space where everyone can talk about their favourite dramas, actors etc etc, not a place for hate/fan wars.
