I read it as Nakhin not wanting to overpower an omega. Nakhin showed both patience/restraint in this scene (trying to explain to Sangnuea that he is missing info) and (unnecessary) platonic care towards him previously, like when he gave him a ride home. I see him as someone who feels that omegas have it tough so eventhough an omega is attacking him he doesn't want to use his pheromones to overpower them. Also he is resisting the pheromones successfully. He sniffs him for a moment and then pulls back and stays back, and he is not doing anything either physically or with his pheromones to hurt Sangnuea because he knows he doesn't need to.
Naphitch on the otherhand used his pheromones to overpower Sanguea and then did what he did😮‍💨......

p.s Nakhin's non use of pheromones must not extend to everyone because we saw him use them on Ongsa and the police officers.

My heart went out to sangnuea as well in that moment. He looked so scared while being (I guess?) subdued before the bite. It looked like he could tell his worst fear was about to be realised and I felt it. Apart from him wanting it, would he really have been successful with Nakhin if it was allowed to play out? The moment before sangnuea was pulled off him Nakhin's head was as far away from him as possible, resisting after being momentarily taken in by the scent and sniffing him, even without having released his own phenomenons. Has it been a successful tactic for omegas on alphas in other omegaverse?

Right, but that is talking about the potential for success of next generation, I am focused on the characters themselves, their lives. Who cares if you have a super successful true alpha child if your life as an omega is what it is in this world. I don't see how that is better than being a beta.

I would actually be happier if he turns out to be a villan, I am deeply concerned for him (and omegas of this world in general) if his only option for a life with dignity is to be bitten by a good hearted alpha.
It also sucks if being a villan is the only viable option to him to have control of his life though, but it makes sense from what we know of this world.
I don't grasp why Ongsa is so upset about being a beta. It is better to be out of the equation than being an omega, unless of course he only wishes he was an alpha.
