I def am a newbi compared to you, so you've seen much more complicated plots for dramas (bl or otherwise) with such short runtimes + few characters? I have only seen that in vertical dramas, which are super fast paced compared to conventional (Is the correct word? Probably not. Horizontal? lol) dramas. Also the lead actors have pactially no credits between them on here. That's the caliber of talent they could afford to hire, right? So the fact that the acting isn't stellar isn't surprising. But i think you have to admit they lucked out with the crown prince actor.
They are all real. In the series its an open ending and left to the audience. In the novel they are real.

Wait! I think you should only watch up to ep 7 for now... I haven't watched ep 9 yet (released today) because people on here are saying it is downhill from ep 8 so ep 7 is a high note and I don't know when the next one is....also I am getting the feeling that LXF will always be a tradwife/doormat/human ashtray for BLQ .... and the snapping out of it will have to do with his dynamic with his family and not a change in his relationship dynamic. I hope it is both though.

Right!? So frustrating, but there have to be a bunch of successful low budget ones before the industry will risk doing a bigger budget/longer one. Hopefully you can reel in your expectations enough to be able to enjoy the rest of the drama! It really is a beautiful love story.

Ah... yes this ML is def not machivalian like that FL + ML. This show is a very simple/ unlayered show plot wise compated to that. A lot of it has to do with how low budget it is, but they did a excellent job with that they had.

Also his mom was a sweetheart and not power driven so he wasn't pushed from that side either so YQ was allowed to grow up without the pressure you usually see in chinese royal families. His is just entering the game so he has a lot to learn.

I originally was also hoping that part of his blossoming arc (please actually happen🙏🏻) would be becoming a pwr bottom but after watching this many eps I don't think that's his personality even if he heals. But I guess on that note are there bls where someone (already experienced) changes from super submissive to dominant over time? The only one that comes to mind is in Yesterday but he was faking. The power bottoms that I can think of were like that from day one.

Update... he did stand up for himself and made huge life changes in ep 7... but lots of stuff happens in ep 8 that worked against his growth (not soul breaking stuff at least thank goodness). So still a hard watch but change is hard so I am happy they are showing that struggle instead of jumping to the future where he already leveled up

The chapter where this scene happens was just released and Nakhun uses a lot more words and it its giving hookups culture, but arranged by an assistant, as opposed to trafficked people sent up at a moments notice.
