Great romance, not so great story
While the first few episodes were interesting, the story quickly loses steam and begins to fall apart. It seems like the writers had no idea how to expand upon the original concept and were just throwing in random dangers and half baked villains. By the end of the drama the plot became almost non sensical.However, the performances and relationship between the leads is the saving grace of the show. Han Hyojoo does a great job of playing a clueless woman who is out of her depth after being sucked into another world. The romance was engaging throughout and the chemistry makes the show enjoyable to watch. Even though I was not invested in the mystery of the show I was eager to watch the next episode just to see how the romance played out.

However, I found the stalker storyline unnecessary and I thought it took away from the main story. I would have preferred for the drama to have less episodes and just focus on the memory part- it felt like they were just trying to fill time with the stalker plot. However, overall I still really enjoyed the drama.

Great Drama
This show was the perfect mix between light hearted comedy and heart breaking tragedy. I loved the reversal of the normal gender dynamic in kdrama (the 1,000 year old supernatural being the woman and the ordinary human who needs saving being the man) and both the past and present storylines were interesting. Both Yeo Jingoo and IU were brilliant in their roles and bounced off each other really well. Although for some reason I just couldn't connect with the side couple, they were the least interesting part of the show for some reason.Was this review helpful to you?
