Boring
This is another series ruined by the script. By my best try, I cannot understand the hype about it. True is: the acting of Lee Se Young is good, especially because it is almost all in Japanese, yet she had much better acting in other series. Well, even the best actor needs a script to play, yet this one is simply bad when it is not void. The camera work is good. However, the soundtrack is below average and the writing is one of the worst possible. A director accepting such a screen play has no back. Sometimes a good actor can push the others to surpass themselves, yet the employed Japanese actors were much below average, too.The best thing about this series is that had only 6 episodes. Even so, I see no reason to waste your time watching it!

Charming
The writer found a good balance between all the planes of the story, it is not exaggerated yet captivating,it has some sugar, yet not too much, the characters are designed not too precise yet not too fuzzy. There are of course
a few forced points a few foreseeable problems and solutions. Only the last episode gave me the impression of fill in,
probably the writer was out of ideas. Acting is of course great, the music is ok, but the very best in my opinion are the
numerous and various views of beautiful spots in Seoul. If you visited Seoul, you'll love this drama for showing many
beautiful places as they really are. I wish, more creators make the effort to film outside, in real places, using the beautiful scenery they may find!

Surprisingly good: a hidden gem
The description of the drama gives the very wrong impression on it.Without the excellent details, the story would be nothing. Yet the detailed portraits
of each character are beautiful. I am not sure if the view on the work of the journalists isn't much
idealized, yet it does not matter, because the drama is full of symbols and more or less subtle incentives
to reflect on many aspects of our life, decisions and attitudes. Each episode has its own story, never boring,
never exaggerated, always credibly and every time adding another brick for the main line of the story.
I also liked the final: again, it is not exaggerated in any way and (as very rarely in the Japanese dramas) not
boring and unexpected - just like life actually is. All this is made possible not only by the carefully written story,
but also by excellent camera work and a magnificent performance of all the actors; of course, the main leads
gave it all - this is a must see for all fans, and all the other actors did (for me) unexpected good jobs. The music isn;t bad either!
I found this drama worth 300% of its view time and it goes directly on the smallest pile of the titles that I liked most.

unusual for Japanese standards
This series wasn't under my radar, but a much respected subber commented positively on it.Indeed, it is unexpected good, much above the standard of the Japanese genre.
The writing is interesting and does not follow the Japanese canons. There is none of the boring
common places. The acting matches the writing very good. The camera work is very careful
and often intriguing. This series is 200% worth its time!

Perfection
This drama is brilliant. Each detail is thoroughly thought.Even each tone and move of each actor during the opening song is perfectly matched
to the situation and way of being of the persons in the drama. This is why they put the actors
to "play" the song.
The drama is a great piece of art: starting from the excellent acting, going through
sophisticated camera work, a careful choice of wording and the amazing construction of the story.
Each every (short!) episode is build from a few very precise even shorter sequences
that some times are continued in other episodes such that a web of
different stories hangs together, giving a myriad of different images, different feelings,
different impressions on each of the persons. This construction and the way it is told to us
both together confer a veritable taste of real life.
The theme and the language are very unusual for a Japanese drama.
I watched many Japanese dramas mainly for listening to the language;
this one gave a new dimension to my Japanese knowledge. Sometimes
I wish to see the Japanese subtitles of it...

Art
I watched this movie in Japanese with English subtitles at a Japanese film Festivsal. As I understand a bit of Japanese and due to my experience in watching dramas and movies that are subbed
by various persons with various skills, I was horrified by the provided official translations.
Fortunately, what was said had less importance than how it was said -- this is an art film.
The show consists of four unrelated stories; one actress is playing the main role in all of them,
hence it felt like four theater pieces. The acting is very good! A various range of feelings
are conveyed. It is not an easy movie -- I was a bit depressed and full of consideration
for what the Japanese people must have felt during the very hard time of covid.

Art
I watched this movie with English subtitles at a Japanese Film Festival. It is an art film, a fact that you recognize from the first seconds till somewhere to the middle of the movie.
The work with the camera is very searched, at the begin it is really hard to follow its movements and
unexpected view angles, yet after a while you get used with it. The voice of the main lead tells the story
as she is writing her journal -- almost the whole movie.
The camera, the story, the acting -- all work together in order to convey very good the feelings that the creators
wanted to convey. Many of the spectators around me were crying or laughing or happily smiling or even singing
according to what happened on the screen.
I liked very much to see the power of friendship at action and the strength of the main lead.

Boring.
I rarely saw so much effort spent on an extremely boring show, if we may name it show at all. There are nice actors acting decently, luxurious clothes and decorations, decent camera usage,
but an extremely boring and unnatural story. The episodes are short, yet about 20% of the time is
filled with recaps and a nothing saying interrogation repeated again and again. My feeling is that they tried to
imitate something and they poorly failed.
This drama is 0% worth its watching time. Stay away!

Excellent
Watching thi movie is an occasion to see what the actors really can: acting. A bad written story can ruin a movie, but a good written story alone cannot make a good movie. Also the theme itselft will not make it a success. The way this movie is directed, the delicacy of each scene and the story itself gives the actors the chance to act. There is nothing of the standard boring romance drama that you can see it everywhere; here the actors can focus on expressing the feelings with they mimic and gestures, with their smile , face and body. The theme of the movie is also a good one and there is so much art and caution inside, that I forgive the few inherent inconsequences. This movie is 100% worth its watching time.

extremely overrated
I don't quite get the hype on this series. I do agree that the leads are cute, but everything else is missing or very poor - comapred to the K-drama standards. The writing is blank: 16 times about 90 Minutes of one theme void of any contents; not even the romance part is convincing. The story and the production and the acting feel togehter like a late fall vegetable soup: it would warm you up, but your stomach will turn outside soon. I rarely give up during a series, yet this was too much for me.Watching more than one episode of this series will waste your time.

worth watching
This drama is clearly above the average (high) quality of current Korean productions. Excellent actors, first class music, brilliant make up and camera work, highly professional production, even the advertisements are much better hidden than in the usual case. As expected, the story has a few pitfalls, e.g the thriller/crime part felt out of place and quite wrong, but I must congratulate the writing team, at least they went very fast and efficiently on it; it needs significant amount of maturity and courage to recognize the wrong paths and a lot of power to leave them in time.I liked this drama for the warm and high quality romance with beautiful and experienced actors at ALL levels.
Unlike most of the Korean dramas, there were a lot of moments with beautiful scenery and a lot of natural affection.
This drama is 150% worth its viewing time.

Masterpiece
I rarely give such a high score, yet I am convinced: this masterpiece will be hard to surpass. This time, the high professionalism of the Korean cinematography met talents on their pics working harmoniously togehter towards thisexcellent result. The brilliant acting of Park Bo Young in the double role of the twins is doubled by excellent contributions of Won Mi Kyung (restaurant owner) and Cha Mi Kyung (grandmother) and of Kim Sun Young and Jang Young Nam (the two mothers) and all the others. The camera work is more than detailed and creative. many beautiful views of Seoul are carefully chosen, the production had a particular eye for details.
The writing supports all this: delicate, sarcastic, full of humor, deep, playfull at times, never exaggerated, always at the right place and peace. What it makes me appreciate even more: the idea of twins helping each other is not new, no smashing techniques are used (see for a contrast comparison "When life gives you tangerines"), the whole value comes from inside: from the feelings, ideas and human problems that are treated in the very right, aequilibrate yet decisive way. I am really impressed.
This series is 700% worth its viewing time, I fully recommend it.

worth watching
Fast pace, unexpected turns, some humor, excellent actors at ALL levels, beautiful music, a whole bunch of tropes of current Korean dramas, highly professional team, not too many mistakes in the script, just a few blatant exaggerations - in short, this is a drama worth watching. The romance does not get much time, but probably this was not the focus anyway. Was this review helpful to you?
Surprisingly good
The writing is excellent, there is a lot of self-irony that is absolutely unexpcted in japanese drama. The synopsis is a bit misleading. The driving theme is jealousy, but there are several levels of the stories
(yes there are several stories!). I found the acting excellent and the actors were very carefully and well chosen.
The whole is accompanied by the appropriate music. The short time of each episode contributes to an alert
rhythm; all unnecessary fillings were deleted. I was almost deceived by the final - a typical japanese one
- but the very last minutes are great: it is not 100% the expected japanese final!
Even if it is not the big revolution, this drama is much better than its actual renomee.
It is 100% worth its watching time!

Too much, but art
A first episode absolutely great. The disclaimers at start and end of the episode make it even more funny and inciting to think! Also the following few episodes are great. Though I think they overdo it and at some point the writer was clueless aht to do next.
Well, this confusion is typical for very good art, so I do not complain about it. Every little detail is well sought. The acting is also great. Yet thereis os much input that it becomes overwhelming, After the half of the episodes I found myself struggling to follow it. In my opinion there were too many allusions to TV shows and alike from the older time.
In a word, it is worth starting, but after seeing 50% of the episodes you can simply stop watching it, if you don't want to waste your time.
