I agree that repeating the incident is lazy, but I'm not sure about your first argument. They have electricity in the palaces, use iPads and TVs - what prevents them to include fire alarms and sprinklers, especially since there was a precedent? However, this also ties back to your initial comment about the bad writing.

really makes you wonder though, why does the palace have such bad fire security lmao? not a single sprinkler going off either, it's remarkable really

contrary to what i've been reading in this comment section today, i have enjoyed the second half of this drama *much* more than the beginning, and i really like the crumbs of romance between the two secretaries lol they take up such little time, it's hardly a waste to show them. they're sweet

i feel this way about the writing as well tbh. today’s episode had hui ju call the pm i an’s “friend” and the grand prince even affirmed that, but …. we have not once seen them act as friends, not even in the early flashbacks😭❓ it’s a bit lackluster to me🤷🏻‍♀️

haven’t finished the episode yet but one thing i liked was the double meaning behind the pm’s remark concerning his rosary “getting in the way.” yeah dude, that’s your moral compass you seemingly left behind🤭🫪 anyway, i’ll enjoy my dinner with the remaining 37 minutes!
