ep14 and concubine song telling gu lan that being a poor man's wife is better than a rich man's concubine as if gu de zhao didn't live on his main wife's money all this time. he wasn't even rich to begin with😑 they are shameless
Would have to agree especially in TRON the step mother/concubines were much more clever and nasty in their longer…
it’s especially annoying because they’re not even making any sense. all their life, they were living pampered and without pushback but god forbid the female lead now holds everyone accountable🙏🏼😒
i think the most annoying thing about concubine song and gu lan is that they're not even that smart or good at scheming. they're petty and annoying and so far they get away with it... ep 13 is infuriating
I advice you to continue watching it. Don't hesitate because it wasn't that bad as others had made it to be.
i might actually enjoy the angst as the plot thickens - i think that's what might have been missing for me all along despite this being a romcom. i'm looking forward to how they handle everything in ep9🥹😀😀 thank you :)

oh i will watch it, but maybe tomorrow - i'm watching so many things at the same time, i'm trying to keep up 🤣 all i saw was just for once everyone collectively going ??? after ep9, which i found surprising. but i'm looking forward to ep9&10🙏🏻💗
you know, ye xian and gu lan are actually perfect for one another. both love to jump to conclusions and act impulsively like idiots because of their "crush"
Right! That scene reminded me a lot of a scene from First Frost. And I love both so much so far.
i did that with jane eyre lmao. watched the movie and immediately after the bbc minu series🤣 same thing different font. i am overcome with the need to rewatch my favorite shows too, so most of the time i give in✊🏼💛

LGEF was really great, I loved that one as well! I have a couple dramas in my blunt rotation that I rewatch almost annually haha, so I totally get the sentiment😀🍿SOKP was amazing too, I liked that one a lot as well🥹
the sleepwalking plot it's so good, It reminds me of "the first frost",can't wait for tomorrow episode…
the thing is i didn’t mind the second season’s shortcomings that much tbh because i still had such a good time while watching it! but the forced miscommunication was really off-putting since s1 established two sensible leads that acfually talk to and understand each other tacitly💔
i personally am having a blast! with A Splendid Match! so far they have focused quite a bit on the second male lead (ye xian), but tbh i don’t mind nor do i care. there are so many dudes, it’s only natural that they all get to shine. i love the female lead and the male lead, the cinematography/styling/sets/colors are sooo beautiful; it’s a feast for me! it’s slowly but steadily moving forward plotwise as well. 🙏🏼🙂↕️
thank you :)
man i love actors that can eye-act, it does wonders to a performance
expectations are now UP📈😏
