Fun and Mature!
I really enjoyed this! A mature, feel-good type of drama with some fun scenes. Super wholesome too, I really loved seeing the female lead with the male lead’s child… Their friendship was super cute and heartwarming. The chemistry between the leads was also so good, they had great tension in the beginning and developed great chemistry throughout the show. Only thing, I didn’t care for the business drama towards the end of the series… So, I skipped it lol. We need more cute and mature romances like this, this was so fun🥰🌹Was this review helpful to you?

A XianXia Not Like the Others!!
What a journey this has been—a good one though! What I appreciated is that there were no annoying misunderstandings breaking up the main couple since they had good communication. They were always very open and truly knew the other very well, which is what I hope to see more in future xianxia dramas🥳I really enjoyed the different arcs, and how you could differentiate them all… If I had to pick my favorite it would maybe be the Outlander and Fox arc? Although the Stone arc was also very compelling. My least favorite was probably the Divine arc, surprisingly. I did not really care for it to be honest.
The styling, OST, sets, etc. were amazing. Bai Lu looks prettier than ever, and Ao Rui Peng looked dashing as our Demon Lord. The whole cast looked really, really attractive and delivered great acting in my opinion. Especially Dai Lu Wa (and her voice actress!! Added great depth to DLW’s performance) gave a very convincing performance, and I really enjoyed how she went from ruthless Fu Ling to sensible yet strong A’Xi😈🌺🌺.
The show may have a happy ending, but the fact that everyone is gone, and that Bai Shuo and Fan Yue have to wait for them to be “reborn” kind of sucks, I won’t lie. For now, they’re practically alone, which is sad😭😅

Delightful!
I am so sad that it’s over 😭. This show was so delightful to watch! With every new episode that was released, I enjoyed it more and more. It was the perfect mix of mystery, fun, romance and heartbreak, and I think they used up the 12 episodes they had very nicely.Se Young’s and In Hyuk’s chemistry was so nice, I loved their characters together so much! And the second couple matched each other’s unhinged energy so perfectly, both couples were a delight to watch.
The music also delivered amazingly. The instrumental was so great, building up the scenes so well that it got me at the edge of my seat!
The styling was also so beautiful. Everyone looked exquisite and I really enjoyed the fashion show in the middle part of the series. Usually, when there is such an event teased in a show, the hype within the story is too big and the final scene ends up being super underwhelming, but not here. The designs looked fresh and pretty and definitely matched with how we got to see Yeon Woo up to that point.
The last episode was really nice as well, and wrapped up both stories quite nicely. Overall, a great show to finish as the first of the new year💞

Stunning!
This was such a nice show😭 I watched it in exactly one week, which is insane for me, but this show just pulled me in immediately. So heartwarming and cozy, comfortable and sweet. The traditional elements were incorporated flawlessly: the OST was stunning and so beautiful, the female leads wardrobe one of the prettiest ever, and the musical performances we got to see were actually so good! Sometimes, when they talk about projects within a drama, the result ends up being super underwhelming, but not here. Nice voice acting and singing, beautiful sets and costumes: No disappointment whatsoever. I loved all the characters and the friend group was so funny and sweet🥹
Only criticism: I wish the female lead was a little more outspoken. I don’t mind that she was shy, but the male lead had to do most of the talking sometimes, so her speaking up a little more would have been nice! Also, my man made some big decisions in the end, I would have been so overwhelmed lmao. But overall, a really nice show with no drama, no toxicity; just warmth, music, food, fun, and love!! 💗🎶

... anyway
Finally finished this one. Had it on pause because it was just so boring and draggy that I got annoyed. The leads and their chemistry truly carried this drama since it didn’t offer anything interesting plot-wise. Which is why I find it crazy to make each episode 70+ minutes long. A reason why I liked “Business Proposal” so much is that the episodes were all 60 minutes long, there weren’t any unnecessary plots/storylines, and it was interesting. KTL was too long for what it offered, which is why I didn’t enjoy it as much. Sometimes, the secondary characters were annoying, the “antagonist” childish to be honest… like she was beefing at her big age over the hotel… anyway. Also, what was the point of the Arab prince? They used his character as a plot devise to move forward our couple by making him ridiculous. I don’t know why they had to be culturally offensive, the writer could have just made the character some important business man or a politician. Why use stereotypes and mocking an entire ethnicity? That part was just super insensitive and dumb because him being an “Arab prince” didn’t add anything to the plot, it wasn’t important where he came from – he just served as comic relief.
If it wasn’t for Yoon Ah’s and Jun Ho’ chemistry, double speed and the fast-forwarding button, I would have never finished this. It entertained me, made me giggle, and even made me lose a tear or two, but overall, this was disappointing.

Have some FUN
This is a good show to watch when you want to unwind at the end of the day, without using any grey cells. It's fun, it's sweet, it has the right amount of drama - and it makes no sense at all. The business aspect of the show has way too many plot holes to be believable, but the show doesn't take itself seriously 99% of the time anyway, so I simply ignore it. I would have liked some more romantic scenes between our couple, but the show has made me laugh and cry exactly when I needed it, and that's all I wanted from it (+ the music added so much to the comedy, I LOVED it lmao). Turn your brain off, and have a laugh, have some whimsy in your life! Was this review helpful to you?

Best OST award goes to ...
This looked like so much fun when it was airing, and I finally watched it too now! What I loved the most were probably the female lead’s dresses and overall styling – it was IMMACULATE. Tens across the board. Her clothes and hair were always intricate, detailed, and so stunning, wow. Another thing I loved was the soundtrack. The instrumentals really turned so many scenes into highlights, I love listening to it (as I am right now as I am typing this 🤭🤭). The show was also genuinely very funny and I think that Li Yi Tong delivered her devastating scenes perfectly – as did Liu Yu Ning! The only thing is that I wasn’t as emotionally attached to the plot, so even though I was empathizing with the male lead (because everyone treated him so unjustly!), I did not really cry with him. However, this was a GREAT performance from Liu Yu Ning, he has the subtle eye acting down and does yearning just so well… 🥹🤭 (though I AM biased when it comes to him lol).
There were some things in the show that were handled badly though (or not at all). The emperor switching up on Nan Heng and making him Crown Prince was… weird. All of a sudden, his behavior was civil, basically loving, while his previous hatred towards the male lead was so irrational (like, why is he blaming a NINE-year-old boy for the death of his beloved empress? Makes no sense). The second thing that left a really bad taste in my mouth is Song Yi Ting sexually harassing Li Shi Liu/Nan Heng and staging a scene that suggests they were intimate in order to decide her marriage herself. This is wrong for obvious reasons as she drugged Nan Heng, undressed him and then herself… and this was NEVER mentioned ever again? She never apologized to him?! She actually wanted Shan Guan He (due to his cosplay as Li Shi Liu), but this doesn’t make this whole situation less rapey! And since they never cleared this whole thing up, her mother ended up being so rude towards Nan Heng after he got married to Song Yi Meng! That lady fully on thought he was a rapist?? And the show didn’t think to clear this up? So weird.
Overall, this show was fun and visually pleasing! The OST is stunning and honestly one of the most intricate and best soundtracks of the year for me! The characters could be quite irritating at times (yes, you, Song Yi Meng! AND especially Chu Gui Hong), and the whole Li Shi Liu/Nan Heng mystery took some time for SYM to finally uncover, and THEN it took time for her to finally be with Nan Heng (like damn, the patience Nan Heng and I had to exert…). But, you know, at least we get a double happy ending, so it’s okay, I guess!

SO CUTE
This was so cute😭😭 My only criticism is that the ancestor misunderstanding took way too long to be resolved; the parents’ conflicts were also very redundant (and so was the stupidity of the brother and dad). Had the writing been a little better, we could have gotten the** cutest couple ever. Li Yun Rui really got me with this drama, he just has the yearning down like a pro! He also just fits historical dramas so well to be honest. Wang Ying Lu was also so great, I need to watch more of her shows. The male lead was such a green flag through and through, the chemistry among the cast was so enjoyable to watch, and the show had me laughing out loud more than once! Even though the ending is controversial (we should have gotten a bit more than them looking at each other…), I found the last episode so emotionally charged and beautiful. We spent a big amount of time with no dialogue, just a montage of scenes, and it really pulled at my heartstrings – it was done really, really well. This series was truly so cute, low-stakes, and fun. Just the writing was a little weak at times…!Was this review helpful to you?

This is a ✨rant✨What the hell... was this? What happened to the main characters? Who are these new people? (I don't care about them??) How did they manage to make this apocalyptic and dystopian story so boring that I skipped through the last 2 episodes because I was going crazy. What the hell was the plot??? Main characters getting killed left and right and never mentioned ever again (Ji Su....), Eun Yoo and her fuckass bob??? Song Kang sidelined in his own show?? Where was he, where was his character? By the time he had more screentime, I didn't even care anymore. This season was boring despite all the violence, beatings, explosions etc. It felt mindless, the more they gave me, the less I cared. Wow, another person dead. Another person mindlessly starting beef. Who tf cares. They wasted resources to produce these 8 episodes as a so-called prep for season 3. If season 3 doesn't give me some season 1 excellence, I'll be mad. They should bring back that one Imagine Dragons song too, and I am dead serious about that. This season is nothing more than a pile of dogshit, I'm so mad.

Infuriating classic
Wow. I finished this show, I cannot believe it. It took me 2 months (with a little break in between), and I can say.... it was a rollercoaster of emotions.the good:
- The music slaps so hard, it should not be THAT good. The OST for this show was absolutely amazing, one of the best I dare say!
- Lee Min Ho looked adorable in this show. I think he was like 21 when this aired, and he looked so cute and handsome (despite some of the terrible clothing and his curly hair lmao)
- Woo Bin. I feel like the poor guy did not have any lines until Jan Di went to Macau lmao. He deserved some more screentime because I found him so funny with his random English phrases lmao.
the bad:
- The show was 25 episodes long, and it definitely could have been a little shorter. I got tired of the antics in the last couple episodes.
- Ji Hoo. I am a Ji Hoo hater first and foremost. I do not understand the hype around this man at all. I never liked him, from start to finsih I disliked him. He just kept being too close to Jan Di, even when she was with Jun Pyo, which was super annyoing to see. Especially when he visits her in the fishing village, and he tells her he can't live without her... boy, she is in this fishing village with a broken heart, what are you doing? BE QUIET. He gave me the ick.
- Jan Di's parents. They were so annoying and delusional
- Jun Pyo's mother, obviously. The woman was a complete loser and stalker. Literally pretended like her husband died too, like wtf was that? I hated seeing her smile in the last episode. Also, her double standard?? Jae Kyung was basically Jan Di in rich and privileged? Otherwise, both girls had similar personalities: outspoken, bubbly, thick-headed, outgoing. But anyway.
- Jae Kyung. I liked her at first but my dislike grew stronger once she decided she would move in with Jun Pyo while Jan Di was working as a maid. When she asked Jan Di to her room, showing off her wedding dress, that was when my hatred grew stronger. JK told Jan Di that she would not give up on Jun Pyo, but her means were unfair and annoying. Literally asking Jan Di "Did you not think of me as a friend", but then basically showing off her privilege and wealth.
- Whatever that plot with Yumi was in the last episode lmao??
- The bullying here was far more terrible than in "Meteor Garden" since our F4 had a cult-like following of boys and girls, and these people just decided to joint-bully whatever student. Physical/Emotional abuse/assault and even attempted murder, like ??
- the styling was terrible. Why were these high schoolers dressed like grandpas :(
Overall, the show is cult or whatever, but it was so exhausting to watch it. It had its good moments but there were too many wtf moments. The OST deserves some Grammy's though!

I will start with the two main things I didn't love/like about this drama: the *astronomical* military propaganda and the last episode... it gave more context on Lu Chen's feelings and certain events but... I found it a tad boring. Two minor things I found meh were the way the adults took care of the kids lmao... they were just shipped around like some things, really sad. I also admit I enjoyed the romance the most when it took place in the winter time in Qining. That is when it truly peaked for me. Once our pretty couple got together, they got a little *too* sweet, sometimes I felt annoyed how much Lu Chen baby-ed the female lead: let her wash that glass of milk, don't treat her like she is incapable of doing things just because she is pregnant etc. like we get it, he is caring but sometimes it was a tad too much for my liking. One thing though: male lead's face never disappointed when he hugged Gui Xiao, he looked so at peace and happy, it made go crazy tbh !! The way they were looking at each other and their chemistry were so great, you could really feel their love for each other, it felt so real to me. The cinematography in this show was wow, just top notch, so pretty! Every episode felt like 5 minutes despite being 9x the length, i had such a good time watching several episodes at a time because it was such an easy watch. Overall, sweet and mature second chance romance; I'll repeat myself: the Qining episodes were *chef's kiss*. Was this review helpful to you?

I'm greedy, I want MORE
Ci Sha finally gets the girl! I loved this show; loved the characters, sets, costumes/styling, the acting, the music, most of the plot. The political aspect of the show was a little more subtle at first, but overtook everything in the last 5 episodes. Does it make sense? Not really, but it delivered action packed fight scenes as well as emotionally. All I did was cry in those last few episodes lol. The ending feels incomplete, unfortunately. Another episode or two to really wrap things up would have been nice, if only to see a peaceful reunion for our couple.Speaking of Jin Zhao and Yan Yun. Wow. I loved them so much, and they only got better once they were married🥹🙏🏻 Yan Yun is so devoted and intense yet tender with Jin Zhao, I really loved Ci Sha’s performance of the character. That scene when she was kidnapped and he rescued her is insane. There is so much restraint in his demeanor, so much tension in the way he positions his hand as he enters that shed—like, I 100% believed that he was 0.2 seconds away from snapping and going batshit crazy because Jin Zhao was tied up and almost trafficked (He is definitely part of the #ILoveMyWife club). Every moment between them felt so good, so sweet, so equal. I think they might be one of my favorite couples ever, just wow. Mutual devotion looks good on them. Loved it whenever they hugged too, Jin Zhao disappears in his embrace as he envelops her with his arms, just … big sigh🫂. Ren Min as Jin Zhao was a delight. She was so sassy in the beginning, and I love how she matured over the course of the show and yet still kept teasing Yan Yun (got to keep that man on his toes!). Her character really felt like a teenage girl who slowly grew into a young woman… I really wish we could have gotten more of her #greedy… I just love my doe eyed princess😪😪
The show isn’t perfect by any means, but I loved every second of it and will probably rewatch it just to reexperience the love story all over again because they were just that great.
