Toxicity free for lead couple and that's mostly the good thing here.

Loved the maturity in the lead couple's actions and decisions. They showed a very healthy relationship which makes me wish that they could've gotten together earlier in the drama so we could see more of that.

But instead, this drama gave us too much screen time on the secondary lead couples (the brother and the best friend + ML assistant and the juvenile heiress). Definitely not happy with this since their stories were meh and their acting needed work. I mean, I'm easy enough to please but they couldn't reel me in, you know what I mean?

Would've wanted a stronger ending though. The ML handling things on his own cos he's all that didn't appeal to me much since their premise as a couple was being there for each other. FL left the other guy because he made decisions on his own, for crying out loud.

Best C-Drama I've watched so far!

I've watched and re-watched this drama several times already and I grew to love the characters each and every time.

I particularly liked how this drama showed the common issues and concerns of regular people and how they come to their decisions in a non-toxic way. It's also great how the couples here are shown doing their very best in their relationships... from Yu Tu and Jing Jing's parents to their colleagues down to Yu Tu's deputy who was going through rough patches with his wife. Their struggles were very real and so was their love for their families and I found that admirable.

The way Jing Jing and Yu Tu grew into their relationship was admirable. Yes, they were both mature yet the drama showed how playful they remained throughout as well. Their personalities didn't change and their quirky actions made their chemistry onscreen super fun and enjoyable!

Last but definitely not the least, thank you director and writers for making sure that their kisses and love scenes felt realistic. None of those annoyingly timid and dry kisses here! There's a certain level of aaaaaaaw when we watch dramas that portray couples as real humans with real needs. That physical love is an amazing form of communication that makes you all warm inside. Like c'mon, real couples don't just hold hands, you know?

Watch.

I must admit that I'm not a big fan of Wuxia but this one had me glued in every episode.

The chemistry between ML and FL is amazing. And if you take them out of the Hei-Bai Fengxi duo, they remain amazing. I love how the drama made them equally powerful yet showing flaws in their characters here and there. The actors were indeed perfect for their roles, they were very convincing all around. I may be biased because I've liked both before this drama, haha!

Bonus for me is how the women were portrayed to be strong and as cunning as the men.

The supporting actors were entertaining as well. Pu was my favourite and he left me heartbroken.

But what got me breezing through all 40 episodes is how each problem/challenge finds a solution/closure early on. They didn't drag alongside the overall arch. Would've wanted a more exciting character reveals for both ML and FL though. Like something that rocked the scene. And while I'm at it, a more gruesome end to the villain. I so wanted him to suffer first before getting the luxury of death.

Having a bad day? Watch this drama.

Love the chemistry of the leads! I think that's what this drama has got in spades. They seriously make you laugh and cry with them as they face their challenges. Their acting is so natural that it's so easy to get caught up in their world and end up rooting for them time and time again.

I also liked the side stories within the drama: how individuals make decisions in life, what motivates them, how families are so different... the list goes on. Suffice it to say that it's not boring. Oh and they are so generous with the kissing! Love love love!

My only beef is Lu Xun's hair. I wish it didn't stay the same :))))

Imma rewatch this soon!

Nothing new really.

With the high rating I saw in MyDramalist, I went in with high expectations.
As expected this was all fluff and there's nothing wrong with that if you managed your expectations that way. The title begs to be answered and I think the story itself didn't give complete answers as to why women love.

The story showed that the FL loved because she wanted to. Her besties loved their man in their own way. For some reason, how it was rolled out in the story was meh for me. I wasn't caught up. Frankly, I could've stopped watching. But like any commitment I make, I see it through haha.

A JDrama you need to watch!

This had a simple storyline that was beautifully written and acted out.

It showed us of ordinary lives facing very common challenges everyday. I'm sure each one of us felt like one of the characters here at some point and that's what makes this drama great for me. It was able to capture the vulnerability of all characters and the actors were able to convincingly show their struggle as they make the decisions they can live with.

I love that no one here was toxic, everyone just wanting to do good for themselves and for others. They are aware of their shortcomings yet they bravely forged on and continued their respective journeys.

The leads look amazing together! I loved the pace of how they grew as a couple whilst growing as strong individuals on one side. They saw their place in this world with clear eyes and that was beautiful!

Tbh, I wouldn't even be bothered if the girl went with the second guy. That's how lovely I saw them! Kuoko was such an amazing lady and how she kept everything together, watching over her 'kids' without suffocating them --- a person we'd like to meet in our lifetime!

Imma rewatch this soon!

Maybe I deserve an award for finishing this one.

The protagonists had chemistry. Let's just get that out of the way.

Beyond that, this drama was so problematic for me on so many levels. It all started out cute, I suppose. Then somewhere down the semi-middle, I started getting meh with the whole thing. I mean, while both FL and ML faced challenges, I can't help but feel that each one was more ridiculous than the one before! It's like the writers wanted this to draaaaaag. That creepy dude was also like WTF for me. I dunno why his role was like that.

And OMG the product placements. I stopped counting.
