Damai and NaNa had more chemistry than any couple bahaha.
I loved this drama. It took me years to get through the first episode because when it aired an immediate family member was going through the same thing. But it's been years now and they made it through with 100% recovery, so I thought I'd try again.
I just binged the entire drama over the past few days. I really needed this as things have been so crazy lately. It truly is what everyone says, a healing hug of a drama that will have you laughing one moment and tearing up the next.
I think I'd normally give a healing, kind of meandering, slice of life drama like this an 8.5-9... But the feeling it left me with was a 10. I just feel better inside having watched it. It's like the warmth the memory of your grandmother sneaking you a piece of candy from her purse when you were little has, or when your crush held your hand for the first time. That's the feeling this drama left me with.
Johnny doesn't really have chemistry with any of his costars to me (I admittedly haven't finished any so if you…
But the BTS looks like he has great chemistry with Ruo Han, and now you're all saying it's going to be a SE??? Whyyy? Kinda sad cuz this may have been the only Johnny drama I'd like.
Johnny doesn't really have chemistry with any of his costars to me (I admittedly haven't finished any so if you have recs where the chem is fire, plz lemme kno). He always looks like he's tolerating his female costars. I do think his friendships with his male costars are always on point.
So if she hadn't been his daughter all the abuse would have been ignored and okay'd???? π€¨π
And her mom getting the cold shoulder and the abusers not... was kinda odd...
They also stuffed ALL the product placement they could into that last episode lol.
Oh and them brushing off the proof that Do Guk didn't actually push his brother..... like, he's spent his life avoiding the family home, the family business, and being made to be the villain because of that incident. But let's just move along like they haven't framed their entire family dynamics by that one incident. π
These sound like complaints but it was an easy watch, not really frustrating just predictable, and all the villains get punished. Surprisingly satisfying. Gave it an 8.
Another article said he tried to claim attempted murder...
"According to the investigation, a man identified as 'A' used a ladder to enter the home through a balcony door, threatened Nanaβs mother with a weapon, and demanded valuables. After hearing her motherβs screams, Nana woke up and, together with her mother, subdued the intruder during a physical struggle. In the process, both Nana and her mother were injured, while A reportedly sustained a wound to his neck." "[In a] counter-lawsuit... [the intruder] accused Nana of attempted murder after being subdued during a break-in."
I read something that her husband will cheat and she might end up with ML's friend. Can't remember if it's from…
I kept feeling like he might have... possibly already cheated? The other girl was trying to get his attention right away (she only had eyes for him) and he basically pretended she wasn't there as soon as he noticed her (he knew what she was after). He was standoffish and uncomfortable and the girl still pressed him for his WeChat (after he so obviously declined her) even after his wife was mentioned. Red flag.
I wondered if maybe it was a one time affair and he cut ties, and now tries to be the "devoted" husband tenfold. He made sure to mention a "female" colleague had showed up when he was on the phone with his wife, but then at the dinner looks guilty as sin when his buddies mention him turning the persistent girl down. His reactions aren't adding up if he's totally innocent.
(Admittedly, when we kept being shown how wrong suspicions can be and how devoted he seems, I kept trying to see these scenes as him just avoiding someone he knows was probably interested in the past and he doesn't want problems. But after he was so shifty at the reunion dinner... I started thinking maybe there was more behind his reactions.)
Also his reaction to the slap irritated me as well. I was like, that's it?? She was just hit by this man and THAT'S your response?? Nothing.
I hadn't heard of this until I saw a recent post on Reddit and I'm so looking forward to it! (I had no idea what it was about though - this is so different!) I'm fast becoming a fan of Lu Yu Xiao and I can't wait to see her future projects.
