I dont think he would have lasted long with his lies even without Yunya knowing the real murderer...he is so flippant about his words and actions sooner or later he would have exposed it himself and went on with his plans shamelessly...Remember when Yunya told she had a memory loss, he sounded her if she witnessed the murder, then later Yunya repeatedly recalls past incidents to seek justice for her mother's frame up, Xie Old Witch and Xie Shu didnt care if she actually knew the truth. They only planned to keep Yunya around to deal with Yanrui, if not for that I believe Yunya would have long been dead

That was another one which made my blood boil....that Xie old witch was hiding while Yunya was getting beaten and she jumped out and started throwing around her authority immediately when Shen Run was beating the old maid

They really embellished male gold diggers in ancient times. Lol the mother and son arent even ashamed to discuss about their dirty plans for the so called "prosperity"

Thanks, I am only waiting for the retribution on Xie Shu and Xie old witch and their faces when they see the wrecking ball coming at their asses, I don't even hope for a happy union for ML and FL at the end

Lol definitely not, both characters exude the same kind of creepiness and spout hypocrisy whenever they open their mouth, must run in the blood

Damn I am just in Ep4, and this old witch (Old Madame Xie) gets on my nerves...hell with respect and consideration for older people, she seems to do and indulge her juniors in all sorts of treacherous deeds and act like a saint...hypocritic selfish people have to taste their own medicine and suffer on their retribution

yeah its quirky but I liked it and my type of humor...

This one is fun and them solving cases are interesting. If you are expecting on the edge of the seat or romance kinda drama this is not it...this lean more towards slice of life type

umm as I said I was not interested in tea at all, so all the grandeur and pride behind it, I don't understand it either. So yes, the whole tea bone thing was cringe. Oh, btw I nevertheless rewatched this. I didn't dislike the schemes and unraveling, only when they are going on about tea, I got bored

I'm no tea connoisseur, so listening to them talk about different teas, brewing methods, and tea bone(or something) was a little cringey to me. But overall good drama, smart female and male leads, the schemes of other characters are good too but yeah most involve tea and its business which I don't really resonated with

She has that commanding aura and the voice to back it up. But yeah she scares me a bit lol

Lol I am waiting and hoping for the emperor to do something, but he is just aura farming and pressuring and killing the framed good ones, in the name of "greater good". I understand he has to deal with a poor national treasury, salt corruption and plague, drought what not, but he is constantly equipping and indulging scheming officials and punish the good ones and he expect them to "share his worries". what a joke
