I guess the collateral damage was comparatively less in this drama. Our ML was even sad after seeing his 1st enemy…
I partly agree with your point...but the prison break obviously had lot of blood shed and ML very well knew how it is going to unfold when he swapped the letter and the gui seal heist from palace. I get that he is there to avenge and I am all in, but I would rather have ML accept all the consequences than him having spout his righteous principles of protecting innocent lives only to go against it. As someone else pointed out this is similar to Nirvana in fire in many aspects. I couldn't help but compare both, leads in NIF had their personalities and goals set clearly and I guess I expected that from the leads here...
ML of these revenge stories be hypocritical...how many low-level guards and messengers and by passers are dead as "collateral" while avenging his family...
Masked man is the mastermind and a manipulative villain also.
I knew something was off, when masked man dismantled the trap in the memorial hall. Everything about that is hella sus and Zhang Hai never thinks twice about it as he is distracted by the fact that there are more people linked. I still can't figure out a proper reason to raise a child and find him mentors, hope it is properly justified later
Ok the first three episodes made me realize how bad judge of a character I am and how easily I trust a person and wouldn't last a day amongst those ladies from the historic period...
So well said! Also a multiple-watcher here and remembering that this show was the one that got me into kdramas.…
You guys know what's the worst thing of having Whats wrong with secretary kim as your first romcom drama? You NEVER get satisfied by any other romcom dramas...
This was one of my few gateway dramas to east Asian drama world. I must blame this drama for wiring my brain to expect that childhood relation/connection before starting to watch something romantic...I go through comments, spoilers to see if it is a happy ending or they were childhood sweethearts and inclined to watch if they are. I have rewatched this so many times and has been a fan of PSJ and PMY since then...
Not Namkoong Min in a tearjerker again :( His normal dramas always have a very sad story but only as a part of the story but these tearjerker dramas are just too sad for me to watch...
Watching The Ingenious One she has a very beautiful pair of eyes... I don't really pay much attention to actos' eyes but her eyes stand out and are very charming
