A Hit or a Miss!
First of all, I would like to mention that the story of the second season would either be a hit or a miss for most people.I usually avoid writing reviews as there are many already for this drama but since I really liked the story of this second season and there were mostly negative reviews I felt strongly to write it.
The second Season of Love Alarm portrays a highly sophisticated and mature theme, unlike the first season. As already mentioned in many reviews this could be a result of a change of directors but since I watched both seasons in one setting I did not feel that was the case and felt it natural as part of the time gap of the drama and that the characters are now older and mature.

Showing an Ugly Side of Society that is often overlooked !!
First, I would like to say that this mini-series is an adaptation. For people who don't like it, it's okay as most progressive societies have left such norms but the depiction of the abuse shown in the drama is very real in many countries. Salute to the author for daring to write it and the film studio for daring to show it as many societies still do have such issues.Secondly, I agree that the story is extremely depressing, the pace is lacking (somewhere it was very slow and showed scenes that were not necessary and somewhere it completely skipped important details and scenes), the ending is totally BS (like what! especially how they just got together in the last minute) and there is absolutely no rewatch value. But it should not be judged purely on this basis. The actors did a great job in fulfilling their roles respectively. The soundtrack and music were also good for a short mini-series. The director did a splendid job on the project as well.

Now I would do my best to explain some of the major issues that I believe are highlighted here:
1. The FL is very grateful to ML because of taking her in when she had no one to turn to. Thus becoming loyal to her (although this is wrong) in the process and accepting the abuse of ML. After all, he is the love of her life and she accepts and endures everything (again, this is wrong). You can feel the strong determination of ML when she says to her friend that she will make him fall in love with her.
2. Through the episodes we can see that ML starts to feel sorry for her (the scene when he eats what the FL had made for him, and also getting jealous when FL is with the other guy). This shows that ML wants to change but in my view, it is his pride that would not allow him to change how he treats her. You can see the conflict in his emotions when ML resigns and he signs it, and the same when she asks for the divorce and he accepts.
3. The nudge that made the FL take the bold steps of resigning and divorcing is due to help from her new friends. This shows how much good friendship is important and how it can give courage to a person to take that important step in life.

I usually avoid writing reviews but seeing all the negative reviews I thought it necessary to write this. Now enough rambling from me but I do hope that people would understand how real such things are in many societies.

An Emotional Roller-coaster!! Be sure to shed some tears
First and foremost, the movie was absolutely hilarious in the first half and an absolute tear-jerker in the second half. The comedy scenes will truly make you laugh, while the family scenes will truly make you cry.The story itself as well as the acting is on point in conveying the underlying tones.. Since it's a remake, therefore there are some changes but overall it did not impact the story in any negative way. Both ML and FL did a fantastic job. Still, there was a lack of romance that felt missing because the chemistry between ML and FL was great and it would have been nice to have some more heart-fluttering moments between them.
Overall! A fine Gem indeed.

Highlighting the importance of Loved One in One's Life !!
The drama conveys the importance of love and loved ones but in an overall sad tone. While it is not a cup of everyone's tea, still having such negative reviews truly eludes me. Since it is a fantasy drama, therefore the accident and extension of ML's living days and finally his disappearance are perfectly justified to me. The focus of the drama is to show the viewers to hold on to the positive aspects of life, to hold on to the good memories of our loved ones who have left us, and to remember them not for the hurt they inflicted but for the good memories that they left us.The FL has to deal with the loss of her father and a mentally ill mother while The ML has shut his heart due to stuff happening in his childhood and a seriously ill mother. The ML and FL both had a lot of bad stuff happen to them which is why the drama could be considered a tragedy. Their acting was very good but the story and acting of the supporting cast left much to be desired as it lacked solid writing, still, the focus on the main lead was absolutely a good point for me.
The ML was already on borrowed time and thought that FL would be sad after he will disappear therefore he broke up with her and tried to set her up with her childhood friend and was even willing to become an evil person in her eyes so that she would hate him but the FL did not want to leave ML and considered even a little time spent with a loved one better than not spending at all, thus clearing the misunderstanding between them.
Overall the making shine of the drama for me is the FL character. She is depicted as a headstrong, hardworking, brave, and very caring person, and her strong love and struggles in the drama were truly a delight to watch.
