I thought the fights were going to get better and better, but it feels like a repetition. I don't understand what FL keeps doing with the bow and arrows in close combat, targeting nearby enemies , it doesn't make any sense. I can't wait for ML to get back to normal and show off his skills as a general.
After the first 6 episodes, I can say this drama is enjoyable to watch. The FL really behaves like a true general, but the fight scenes aren’t that promising, at least so far. A few things that bother me are the FL’s excessive wearing of jewellery in the military camp. Also, her troupe of female warriors doesn’t seem believable, they seem to lack proper fighting skills. For now, I like the ML, and I enjoyed his fight scenes in the first episode. I’m really looking forward to seeing more of them in the upcoming episodes.
Still don’t know anything about CZ backstory. Who was his mother? Why was he treated like that?
Somewhere toward the last episodes, they showed that his mother was looked down on even by her own family because she had a child without being married.
Some thoughts about the show and the last 2-3 episodes: (some spoilers ahead!! but since it's freshly ending,…
What a pathetic hater you are. If it hadn’t been for Chu Zhao, Xu Jing Fu wouldn’t have been condemned. I haven’t seen you say a bad word about He Rufei, who was truly despicable , which just shows that you’re simply a biased person.
Novel readers this chu zhao is trash in this drama but is it the same in novel?
Trash’ is a bit too much , in the end, Xu Jing Fu was punished thanks to the evidence brought by Chu Zhao. The only one who was truly evil it was He Rufei.
Overall, the drama was good and entertaining. I especially liked He Yan’s boldness and chemistry with Xia Jue at the beginning, but I feel that gradually got lost as the plot developed. I enjoyed the fight scenes, especially those outside of the war, probably because they were longer. I think they dragged it out a bit too much with the last 6 episodes, the drama could have easily wrapped up at episode 33. I also felt that He Rufei and Xu Jing Fu were defeated far too easily, I would’ve expected a bigger fuss over it. For me, it didn’t make sense that Chu Zhao was upright almost until the end, and then suddenly they turned him into a villain. His maid didn’t deserve to die either. I feel the same about Yan He , his death wasn’t necessary. Another thing that bothered me was the sugar figure, how could she make him a personalised sugar figure just like the one she made for Chu Zhao? As for the kisses, I would’ve liked to see some with more passion ,at least the first one.
