Dodn't thought I will say this, but this drama is quite good, I even felt the episodes are too short, but realized they are normal length, but they pass so quick, I want more !!! ๐๐๐๐
I started watching Lovely Runner mainly because of its high rating on MDL and the huge number of views, so naturally, I went into it with pretty high expectations.
It turned out to be a nice and entertaining rom-com, although I wouldn't say it completely lived up to the hype for me. I wasn't familiar with the cast, except for the ML, whom I had briefly seen in Perfect Crown, though I only watched one or two episodes of that drama.
While I enjoyed Lovely Runner overall, I can't say it was a "wow" drama for me, especially compared to some of the other Korean dramas I've watched over the past 2โ3 years. My biggest issue was the constant back-and-forth between the past and the present. After seeing the same time-travel pattern repeated several times, it started to feel a bit frustrating and I found myself losing patience with it.
That said, it was still a pleasant watch with a sweet romance and enough enjoyable moments to keep me interested until the end. I liked it, just not as much as its popularity and rating had made me expect.
I can't believe I paid for a Viki subscription for this drama and only 29 episodes have been released so far, while most viewers already finished watching it days ago. And don't even get me started on the number of errors I've had with the TV app, it's simply not worth it.
The drama itself was okay, neither amazing nor bad. In my opinion, its current MDL rating should be around 8. I don't really understand why so many people are unhappy with the last few episodes; I actually think it wrapped up pretty well.
2ML's actions were pretty much to be expected. We know him from "The Double", after all, so I wasn't expecting anything different. ๐
P.S. Did the makeup team not notice how much lip balm they were putting on him? It was honestly quite distracting! ๐
Overall, it was a good drama for me, but it didn't exceed my expectations. Personally, when it comes to Wu Jinyan's dramas, I still prefer "The Double" and "Kill Me Love Me".
I couldn't take MangoTV's subtitles anymore, so I ended up subscribing to Viki just so I could actually understand what is happening in this drama! ๐คฃ๐คฃ๐คฃ๐คฃ๐คฃ
I struggled to get through the last 7 episodes. Overall, I didn't really see much development in this drama. I also didn't understand the point of the ML's "disappearance" in the last 4 episodes. The second couple was cute, I really liked them. Prince Xian was a nuisance from beginning to end. I don't understand how he became so obsessed with someone who has a completely different appearance. I just don't get it. I genuinely hoped he'd disappear after the first few episodes, but nope.

For me, it's an 8โ8.5/10.

He seems to be a nice guy in here!
Maybe "Legend of the Female General" ...
