Annoying, Frustrating, Boring.
You can disagree all you want but this drama felt so terrible to me that it almost caused me a drama block!! It had a very promising start but especially after episode 6,,everything became so messy and more than boring..🤧Watching the past trauma over and over again just frustrated me....It felt like the story had completely frozen 😑
Comedy scenes didnt make me laugh even once and there wasnt a single character I could truly relate to!!! Most characters were annoying..
I had been forcing myself saying "keep watching keep watching, it will get better..It has to be good! Its kim bum's drama..Its Ahn Hyo seop's drama..😮💨 I was literally watching it at 2x speed and still struggling to get through it..
Me most disappointed in Ahn Hyo Seop.. His makeup, body language, expressions..nothing matched his usual standard...
And Kim Bum!!!
He barely had any screentime or depth in his role... Why did he even choose a role like this? He deserves so much more than this...
So why did I still continue watching?

This drama lost It's potential
Maybe this is an unpopular opinion but I feel like most Kdramas these days have a very promising start. The first few episodes make you think "This is going to be so good!" But at a certain point the story suddenly starts falling apart.My Royal Nemesis was exactly the same. The beginning was amazing but towards the end it just kept going in circles with the same cliché tropes and trauma. It felt so slow that even watching it at 1.5× speed wasn't enough!!
A few things really annoyed me. The female lead fainted so many times that I lost count! And the villain kept plotting against the male lead over and over again yet he barely seemed to care. He literally had no concern for anything except the female lead!! I mean, it's Cha Se-gye... He should have maintained that badass energy, right?
My only main attraction was Se-gye. His gestures, attitude, smirk, smile... A gentleman, a yearner, a loser, so deeply in love ♥️
One thing I was trying really hard not to mention but at times the female lead's character came so ""socially awkward"" to me!!! Se-gye was too good for her🤧
Anyway despite all the hype..nothing really lived up to my expectations except Se-gye. It was an average drama with such a high-level male lead..

I genuinely can't believe a masterpiece like this went so underrated wth!!!This turned out to be one of the best thriller K-dramas I have watched...
The first few episodes were kinda whatever! But the deeper the story gets, the more INTENSE it becomes... Especially after epi 3 or 4.. every single episode starts throwing insane scenes and twists at you 😭
The story basically revolves around a serial killer and a taxi driver but the way everything is presented... with all those twists, reveals, and psychological elements... pure dark world!! Brutal, obnoxious... so disturbing!!
Every time you think “Okay maybe things are finally going to be okay now,” something happens and everything starts all over again!! There are some absolutely brutal scenes in this drama... I was genuinely scared 🙃😳
Yoo Yeon-seok who played the serial killer/villain here... might genuinely be one of the best villains I have seen in a drama 😭 It literally made me wanna crawl through the screen and beat the shit out of him myself. His acting was THAT good. I was watching the drama and, at the same time, secretly admiring his performance like GOSH!!
Dont cancel me but after all that..I somehow ended up really liking this psychopath 😂 I am starting to question my own sanity now 😭
Pure dark, thriller, suspense, heartbreaking, and the plot twists are genuinely surprising!!
Though the ending was not that satisfying... this psychopath deserves hell anyway.. 🙄
After finishing this drama there was only one line that kept coming to my mind:
“Hell is empty, and all the devils are here.”
