I like how he taught him to do the cave kiss scene and the cinnabar brush flashback scene lol. He's definitely responsible for ZLH getting screenshot- memed all over douyin for his terrible camera work, that's for sure.

Imagine if this drama was filmed by that director. It would've been absolutely gorgeous. I will give him credits for being able to direct ZLH in his scenes though. He taught him well how to bring the scenes to life.

That part bothered me so much and there were so many offensive shots of the actors' faces that totally ruined the moments. Everything is great about this drama but this director.

I like NIF 2 better. Court politics and family dynamics give me similar feels to this drama. Imagine if YL had his story. The parts about big brother and father made me cry so much and it has a nice romance too, HE. Now I feel like rewatching it lol.

He often kissed her so hard and long that she lost oxygen. I feel like that’s why JXN pushed him away in the cave kiss because that was how it was in the novel. She fought him off because she couldn’t breathe.

In the novel, he was high from the drugs and thought that she was a hallucination. When he realized the next morning that it was real, he majorly regretted telling her to get the f out 😂

So I came across a comment from someone suggesting to watch the kiss scene slowed down at 0.75x speed and went to do it, you know... for research purposes. What actually caught my attention was that after the kiss, both JXN and XW were equally glassy eyed. She did not start tearing up until after XW brought up ZZ. So I feel like she was upset that he poked at her old wound and not at being forced kissed. Just my two cents.
