I tried to watch the eps with the lil Chinese knowledge that I have but I think the plot is complicated and you have to pay attention to details so you can't pick up much if you don't understand. I recommend waiting for subs, but overall it's fast paced and no boring filler scenes and it's very interesting

I was really looking forward to season 2 because I loved the cast of the 1st season and especially xiao zhan, I'm kinda disappointed. Zhang yuxi is good but why are they casting someone so young for Tang San, when Tang san would be even older, xiao zhan would've been the perfect cast but they had to ruin it...

if everyone wants to frame you + your life can be put on the line at a minor mistake, you'd obviously lay low too. her "fake act" doesn't have to be convincing and you probably noticed that not everyone is buying her act and they're trying to expose her which is why she needs to keep up the act until she can guarantee her safety and that of her family

suddenly the cancel culture doesn't even seem that bad compared to this, people get cancelled they lay low, then apologize and comeback even stronger but I feel like in China they don't get second chances. i was really waiting for this drama to air...
