In compromising, if not sacrificing its cultural integrity, South Korea is only accelerating its own collapse. K-pop is basically American hip-hop with Korean (plastic surgically-enhanced) faces. And K-dramas will end up being nothing more than mid (in both senses of the word) American TV shows with Korean people.
