The meteor ☄️ lore is fine and not unusual. There was a drama with Victoria that featured alien foxes 🦊…
Ok, I put this under a spoiler tag because I don't want to detract from the discussion about the drama.
I appreciate your conscientiousness, but I want to adress a couple of things you said.
1) "Secular" is not the same as "atheist." Secular means taking a neutral stance on religions & between religions. Atheist means taking a proactive stance against religion. Or more accurately, the existence of religious entities. For example, the US is also a secular government.
2) China does indeed monitor religious activity but not because it is religious. It monitors all activities that pose national security risks, including those that happen to be religious. It is not unlike what the FBI did to southern Black churches during the Civil Rights Era. Or what they did to Muslim mosques on the eastern seaboard post 9/11.
Yes. DD is a Chinese ethnic minority (Uyghur). China has 56 officially- recognized ethnic groups, with the Han ethnic group being the large majority. By contrast, South Korea is ethnically homogeneous.
I'm not sure that is a good thing. I have not started watching it yet but I don´t like when they westernise Asian…
If you think this is a C-drama version of a K-drama version of Hollywood, this isn't it. Nor will you ever see such a thing. The Chinese will never compromise their cultural integrity for the sake of popular entertainment.
He is a truly talented actor. I hope his talent won't be wasted. He needs to take on challenging roles, he has…
Because CXX was a child actor, his family has always represented him. He's likely comfortable with the situation. Not to mention, how do you say no to family?
And they did help him land the lead in GMP when he was only 22.
Is it me or does this man look biracial? Is he really full Chinese? He looks half white.
CXX is 100% Chinese. Keep in mind China is a very big & diverse country with over a billion Han Chinese alone.
In the Republican Era drama "Fall in Love," he looked so classically Chinese that he could've stepped right out of an old Shanghai movie from the 1930s.
Can anybody tell me how are first 4 episodes please .many giving bad comments
Let me get this straight. You want to know if you should take the bad comments (that presumably, you've read elsewhere) seriously by asking for more comments here.
How would you know if the comments you're asking for here should be taken (more or less) seriously than those you've read elsewhere?

Here his character doesn't even have a flag. At least not yet.
And CXX really does have that "IT" factor. What you call "magnetism." Love him or hate him, but you can't take your eyes off him.
I won't spoil it for you and reveal the true color of his flag. Just see the first couple of episodes & decide for yourself.
It's not "ancient" China, but the setting did occur a century or so ago.
And they did help him land the lead in GMP when he was only 22.
Remember that entrance in episode 2 !?
