Havenβt watched episode 8 yet but she might not be an ex? Could be someone that used to like him etc etcWho…
No she is the ex. We have seen her since Ep 1 start. The weird song and the break up that happened, that was all Kang Sol. And Ep 8 just ties it all together.
She's the ex - and her reason to be back and what she wants is not clear. Maybe she wants him back cause she never stopped loving him and hurt him on purpose. Maybe she is back for revenge - she'll mention that she can destroy his gym with her influence unless he listens to her or something like that?
Guess #1: Som-i and Nak-Joon were old lovers. But overtime he broke up with her, due to some reason, maybe unable…
Oh I understand what you mean. I have had a similar experience with dramas like Move to Heaven, Tomorrow, Light Shop which deal with such heavy topics. In fact, the recent drama When Life Gives You Tangerine is not exactly in the same genre - but I got to know the ending through SNS and which is why I have not been able to complete this drama. I need to mentally prepare for it - and it stays on my mind for very long and I tend to even draw parallels for real life. But then if done well, they are also my favorite genres - because it deals with inevitable topics of life/death. They are memorable in a happy/sad way.
This drama is in fact lighter than the ones I mentioned above - because the sad/realistic portion is broken by light comedy stuff.
But yes do what suits you best - ultimately dramas should be seen and enjoyed as per one's liking. :)
She probably will act as a catalyst for the romance to be realized by our main leads.
That would have been interesting, but looks like we want Director Do to show new character + Mi Ran that he has overcome his past - and this will make the main couple admit the feels for each other
Love it when Director Do uses it in so many different situations - but I loved how other characters also picked…
one of the best of 2025 - in fact, if I really think about it, my super favs of 2025 so far has been dramas that have a level of exaggeration - like Trauma Code, Study Group and now this!
IKR! I really wish more people would give it a chance. Maybe this "comance" is not everyone's cup of tea but I…
I am with you - and I am already rewatching some scenes/episodes by the time I wait for the weekly episode release. But then all good things must come to an end, I will miss it too when it ends but we can always come back to it.
Watch episodes/scenes like - What the SOJUUUUUUUU over and over again! ππͺπΌ

I have been following Jun since his idol days - and I loved his transition as an actor. His earlier works may not be as well-known as the ones that have come since Love and Leashes, and specially 2025 drama/movies - but he has always surprised me with his range of acting. The duality is stunning - he can go from psycho villain to pookie character in a jiffy. Really a lot of respect and one of the few idol-turned-actors who really know how to act. Love the attention and love he is getting, and I hope it only grows!
I am also assuming a lot of work is coming now and he's been super busy because he will be enlisting in military this year or next. So super glad for all the recognition and I hope he wins great awards this year - he truly deserves it. Not easy to switch your career mode and get recognition for your talent, not just because he is handsome (like we know few other idol/actors get more attention for looks than their acting prowess).
And I still cannot come to terms with the fact that this man is a self proclaimed shy introvert person, like that makes his acting and onscreen avatar even more commendable ππΌππΌππΌ
Winter Sonata is such a old drama and my memory is super hazy in terms of dialogue and exact scenes. But the theme song - uff, omg - it is one the best melodies and OST ever. It just kicks in the nostalgia like no other - which is why my ears literally perked up as soon as it came on PUTHL. But yeah - not sure of the reference, still it was so cool !

Well you will never get that from me. I love hearing about different opinions, so feel free to share.
Sometimes I do get carried over - when I like/dislike a drama, but I try to keep a neutral tone with anyone who has opposite views than me. Hence, always up for a discussion which is why I shared the theories in the first place.
I hope you do make time to watch the drama in its full glory and not just reels, and that you like it :)
What am I even watching bruh πThis is absolute cinema, Iβve never laughed so much watching K-drama. *What…
IKR! I really wish more people would give it a chance. Maybe this "comance" is not everyone's cup of tea but I feel sometimes you just need a drama that just makes your face and belly hurt while laughing. And it has all the elements done right so far - and the acting, I really hope Lee Jun Young wins an award this year for all the multi-faceted roles he has done.
The way his eyes, dialogues, voice and body language is exaggerated in this drama is just too good π
I really love when he always says "What the...." with ends different words like fat, skinny, koju etc. Im reallly…
Love it when Director Do uses it in so many different situations - but I loved how other characters also picked it up. Best Part - I love how we as an audience are also using it.

I'll explain the scene In Ep 4, you might recall, or just watch the episode at around 20 minute mark in case my explanation is messy/confusing.
When Mi Ran is running away from her mother, she comes late night to the gym. But suddenly Director Do comes in thinking he is all alone and starts to work out - only for him to be scared by a Back Ghost? (Which was Mi Ran).
That's when Mi Ran enters his room and sees all the books that he is reading which are mostly related to body/fitness. But in the middle she is surprised to see an unusual book - she takes it out and it is titled "Never a Sad Ending" - the author name is mentioned on the book as Kang Sol. And then we see a flashback of sorts where Mi Ran remembers seeing a ad hoarding about the book and the picture of the author - who we know from Ep 1 is the ex girlfriend.
Probably not recognized in Ep 4..as she is there very briefly but when she opens the book, Director Do has scribbled in it and Kang Sol name is mentioned there too. Also cause in Ep 1 - she was wearing glasses and different kind of style of clothes. Ep 7 ending and Ep 8 preview shows she is changed a lot - like she has changed her style for sure.
It will be interesting to see Director Do in a similar situation as Mi Ran, both getting over their ex. And of course both exes coming back in their lives or attempting too will make our main leads realise that they like each other.
Ep 8 Preview - Is Sam Moon one of the blind dates? The main leads did a chat show with him, and we know ML and Sam Moon were together in DP project. This is pretty cool :)
Regarding the new character that came up in end of Ep 7 - not sure if anyone noticed but I remembered a few facts that were shared before.
The author of the book shown in Ep 4 - is the same person - Kang Sol. Looks like they were never forgotten and Hyeon Jung has been secretly following them on their career path.

How am I supposed to wait patiently till next Wednesday after what they just dropped!
