Absolutely - that is why I felt compelled to reply to DanaL's comment. We need to be empathetic when writing anything online - not just on this topic but in general.

It may seem trivial to some but words hold a lot of power, which is why we need to be responsible before posting.

I understand your concern, but I must say your comment, though perhaps well-intentioned, is NOT correct. It is not proved, and even if someone might be taking unhealthy measures to maintain a certain image due to societal and industry pressures doesn't mean they aren't beautiful.

Imagine if Moon Ga Young or someone similar were to read your comment—they would be negatively affected. How can you talk about the suicide rate while you're categorize people as beautiful or not beautiful? EVERYONE IS BEAUTIFUL, regardless THE BODY SHAPES. Regarding the skinny frame/unhealthy habits - SOCIETY, INDUSTRY, STANDARDS need to CHANGE.

Let's focus on PROMOTING a HEALTHIER MINDSET, SOCIETY, STANDARDS and being more EMPATHETIC in our comments.

Personally, I too am alarmed seeing women like Moon Ga Young, Blackpink Rose, and other female celebs being very thin. It's unfortunate that society often imposes such standards. I hope for a change towards healthier representation.

HOWEVER I know from real life experience - some people naturally appear skinny despite their efforts to gain weight, just as others struggle to lose weight. Both body types, and everything in between, are beautiful. It's not right to assume every actress has unhealthy habits; it could be their natural body shape.

I don't mean to chide you; I understand your concern. However, your comment wasn't right. Every BODY TYPE is beautiful, and we should be careful when commenting EVEN ON celebs' appearances, as we don't know what they go through OR WHO ELSE Reading it will be affected by it.

No one wants to endure such high/unreal standards of beauty—they're often imposed on them. Let's focus on changing this mindset for the better than being unkind to them, even and especially if it is online - as it has a wide reach.

cute so far - Moon Ga Young always makes me smile, such a talented and beautiful actress. Love how her character is headstrong - and I hope this stays! And first time seeing Choi Hyun Wook in a cold-but-awkward within chaebol role is interesting so far. Also - the actors coinciding from True Beauty are just a cherry on top!

I am wondering when she'll get to know that Black Dragon = Director. Anyone who's read the webtoon and seeing the drama, going by the pace, any idea when it will be? Also is it a true adaptation so far?

❤️ 100% - even in the limited episodes across dramas that I have seen him, he's really very talented. I mean its a good/bad thing that I saw his amazing acting in Ep 38 (I cheated to see the end) and I can see the pain/anguish - which is such a 180 difference from how Ah Zan started out - and it makes me heart ache. I need to prepare myself to continue - which is why I think I'll watch something happier and then come back to it. But yes, what a fantastic actor for sure!

I have been getting into C-dramas, Reset is probably the only one that I saw and loved. There were rom-coms here and there but did not hold my attention. I personally like the "Republican Era" in history of China, in general - and totally love the tropes that have a military/police/revolution themed story or love story. Which is why this was on my radar for very long. I was going to start it for CZY - but then TWOT started airing so I came here first. But looks like I need to go back to DNAD - it seems very interesting - acting and plotwise! Plus, I got to know it has a happy ending - so win win for me.

I have tried to watch it twice - bad, sadly even CZY's charming self could not make me complete it. Maybe it is not a drama for me - I had many discussions with those who loved it - to see it from their eyes but I just cannot bring myself to digest the FL's depiction which is as good as a childbride. Like it just seemed off with her childish acting and the ML being relatively older - though I have been told by other watchers that it kind of hints at the real life society where the consent age for women is very low I think.
