Oh I didn't realize he's enlisting soon. We probably get the next season for when he comes back,
He has already enlisted, he will be returning Dec 20, 2025. So probably they can have spin off series with another character in focus (am guessing his Uncle - got to understand from other MDL users that there is another novel/webtoon where he is the main character) AND have Season 2 planned when Hwang Min Hyun returns.
High-school dramas about bullying and injustice aren't new, but "Study Group" stands out with its larger-than-life fights and OP character. I haven't read the webtoon, but I love the shonen-style action and comedy. What’s great is that it goes beyond the fights, offering glimpses into a larger universe with unique characters and motives that add depth to the main story.
These stories are special because, while we can't be OP characters in real life, there's immense satisfaction in seeing underdogs win and just characters triumph over injustice.
With just four episodes left, I'm excited to see how they conclude the story, hopefully leaving room for potential sequels once Ga Min’s actor "Hwang Min-hyun" returns from military duty. Given its popularity, I believe the makers will seize the opportunity for a Season 2, no doubt!
It is mentioned that "Li Zan feels guilty and blames himself for the death of his friend who sacrificed his life…
Looks like what I didn't want has happened - Jiang Lin is dead in the drama, and as I feared Li Zan feels guilty and obliged to look after his younger cousin brother. Damn T_T
Zheyuan's eye expressions are a class of their own ❤️_❤️
Very few actors are able to emote so well through them (especially scenes of crying, anguish, pain) without it looking like overacting. Literally makes you a little teary eyed or get that throat lump - even though it is behind a screen!
Lee Jun Young seems to have been typecasted as a negative role character more than positive ones. While he slays everytime in either category, I want him to get more main roles.
Still excited to see how his character is in this season!
he's always been since his City Hunter days. But so glad that more and more people are getting under his charm…
That is so incredible isn't it? I love this - better late than never, like I said.
You should definitely watch 365 Days, one of my favorite dramas - it was a very well thought out plot, great acting and action, and suspense in heavy doses!
Nope, his uncle is the main character in another webtoon called Hanlim Gym. His name is Yungha jeon
So they are mixing it up but given it is 10 eps only, I think they will close this season but there is an opening to expand it for Season 2 if it does well.
in chinese culture, adding "a" to the beginning of a name is a form of affectionate or informal address, this…
Great - thank you so much for taking the time and patiently answering this random question of mine. I really like to know these cultural nuances, really appreciate the details you shared :)
They are out of the warzone, but the flashbacks will haunt them forever - price to pay for trauma, one is never…
True - have got some hints from the comments of users who have read the novel but eager to see how the drama unfolds. While the release cycle is good - I am so desperate to see it all, and wish all eps release soon!

I understand now, and just to corelate with something that am familiar, I feel it closer to Japanese "chan and kun" (though these are gender specific) which are also an informal address.
Thank you for taking time and sharing it in so much detail - appreciate! :)
Ep 11-12, really made up for all the un-realistic moments that came in episodes before. What terrific acting - the facial expressions, body language bringing out the suffering, longing, despair and hope. I can see NOW why this drama was highly anticipated - and can see this was the turning point.
And while this fiction, the reference to real world and impact of war and suffering is a deep message. There are no winners, but only losers on any side of the war. These were such powerful 2-episode, increadibly executed! Te Amo - since this is the main OST - but to the cast and crew for pulling this off, brilliantly with care and sensitivity in mind.
Eager to see how the story unfolds now that they are out of the Eastern Country and chapter 2 begins?
She says A Zan. If they put A before the surname is a form of familiarity and endearment.
Got it - just had a follow-up question, added it above in reply to Konichan. Is it similar to "gege" or "oppa" (Korean context) or "chan/kun" (Japanese context)?

Thank you for explaining it so well. Just a follow-up question, so is it similar to how "gege" is used?
I am drawing parallels on how in Korean context "oppa" means older brother but used affectionately for boyfriend/husband. I know that "gege" also has a similar context.
OR - like how in Japanese "-chan" or "kun" is used as a form of endearment, amongst friends, etc.
I am not that familiar with C-dramas, but more with K- and J- dramas/movies and hence using these examples.
Li Zan: I think, as long as you are safe, you can stay as long as you want! 🫠 🤤 😍
AAAAAAHHHH - WHY SO CUTE!! Who knew there would come a day after a decade long of watching dramas, that I would come to appreciate and scream with glee at slow-burn romance like this. I blame these two good looking main leads and especially CZY. This is like when the Hallyu wave had crashed over me for the first time, just this time its from C-dramaland! BRB, Hyperventilating cause these two were super cute in Ep 10 😍
I know too late to ask this question but still - Does she call him A-Zan or Zan? The subtitles say Zan but it seems like she's saying A-Zan and I have seen many comments here say the latter as well.
Zan is understandable cause its his name, but if its A-Zan, why the A? Is it some novel reference?
Prefer the coupling of TaeHwan and JiYeon as they seem real all be it seems to have derailed with TaeHwans awkwardness…
Haha understandable - I just really liked the moment DEX appeared on S2, his debut episode and the game was really interesting. The rest honestly I have forgotten because it was again something similar to this season - being focussed on an unnecessary love triangle, though everyone was still interested.
And when he came in S3 as a host and till date, I feel his commentary and views are very honest and perceptive. Hence I suggested if you'd like to see that transition from contestant to panelist - but I get you, we need a breather from this high intense shows! XD

Li Zan: Temporarily? How long is that?
Song Ran: How long do you hope it is?

You go gurrrlll! Make that MOVE! Take charge! Lead the way!! 🔥 ❤️
