Ah Signor Cassano - honor to meet you on this side of comments. I like this theory - yours is the first comment I see after logging in but I will take your word. In fact this theory makes me excited that Ep 11-12 were not the end - cause otherwise the fight was too bland.
maybe this is not the end, Satan did not really go to Hell and is lurking around and final battle remains. Like you/Someone has shared the last Bael could be Satan in disguise and I think I missed the whole red aura but am loving this theory. After all Satan is a master of trickery so we cannot put this past him - and the last bit was so unlike Bael. So yes, am going to trust in this show and writers and hope for an epic finale!! * fingers crossed *
what do u mean π IT WAS SOOOO GOOD EP 11 AND 12
Compared to the earlier 10 episodes it felt a little (like 0.000001%) less exciting in terms of action and the big reveal. Like Ep 11 served well on the emotional front which was great - but idk maybe I was expecting like fight of the century or something.
But yes - I like how other users have shared that maybe this is not the end, Satan did not really go to Hell and is lurking around and final battle remains. Someone has shared the last Bael could be Satan in disguise and I think I missed the whole aura but am loving this theory. After all Satan is a master of trickery so we cannot put this past him - and the last bit was so unlike Bael. Thoughts and Theories Post Ep11-12So while am happy that my and others' earlier theories were not amiss (as shared…
[1] Was right that Assemblyman and Son 1 is main culprit, just I thought the person who's Killer J and Satan would be same. While I like this logic as well, where Satan instigated Son 1 to do the killings - for some reason the fact that the son remained the same physically through 20+ years it is a little unsettling. But then Korean actors and characters have partaken from the Fountain of Youth - so I guess that is what the writers were going with.
Personally would have liked it better as - Assemblyman being the Satan/Killer J 20 years ago. So young Son 1 came home and killed his father - and Satan took over - is all fine. But would have been better if Assemblyman would have been Satan/Killer J and done the killings 20 years ago; while Son 1 was the accomplice. Even if he was middle-to-senior aged, because of Satan's powers he should have been able to carry out the killings. But each kill made him a tad weaker and given that his human body that he was living off was getting old. Therefore he makes a deal with the elder son - who knew the identity of Satan / Killer J living off as his father - to do the present day killings. I mean I like the current logic - but then my version kind of sat better in my head - in terms of timeline and people aging etc.
[2] Now the reason why my rating might go from 10/10 to 8-9 [2- a] The focus on Satan vs Justicia + the big Reveal was Rushed and Lack luster. - Justicia vs Paimon was a better fight | vs Satan was so bland - the big reveal was so rushed, just done away in half an episode. - given from the start there have only been 2 questions in this drama: 1) who is killer J/Satan 2) will Justicia and Han Daon have an happy ending. - the first one I feel the show makers have not done justice, he was Satan and he went away so easily. It really was boring whereas it should have been more intense, action packed - to the points of being fearful and cruel. But it wasn't - another case where the interest was build up so high only for the makers not being able to justify the expectations.
[2-b] Now with 2 episodes remaining and given the execution of 11-12, am doubtful on how the makers will execute on important point number 2 - Will Justicia and Han Daon have an happy ending.
I really hope they take the time to explain why Justicia was punished, why human Bitna is in Hell, why they will have a Happy Ending if they do. Really hoping they don't rush it just like with the whole Satan vs Justicia arc.
Also what is the issue with Bael - he is unnecessary giving challenges. Like it makes no sense why would he want Justicia not to give a fair trial to Son 1. Like what is stopping them to have a trial and make him have a life sentence. Once he is in prison - am sure Justicia can pull off and kidnap him to kill him in her own manner and send him to hell. Bael will still get the guy to hell as expected - this clearly shows that just because they want an obstacle in Han Daon and Justicia's way - they forcefully have to make it this way.
Given how much I had been loving this show and still do - the Ep 11-12 were a downer in comparison to what we have seen so far :(
Really hoping they make up for it and give a fitting finale to this story.
This drama was going 10/10 for me, but after Ep 11-12, its coming down to 8-9 as it is not flawless anymore for me. Good but not great - but still hoping the last 2 episodes finish well.
More details below in comment under spoiler tag - would love to hear from others what they think:
Hey! Thank you so much for this comment. You literally made day. Iβm glad someone understands my perspective…
Pleasure is all mine, it was fun to rant about garbage dramas together through reviews. And yes, BWS was the only reason worth dragging myself and completing this s-show. Thank you for also taking the time to read my drama review.
And yes, look forward to seeing your updated profile, whenever that is - no pressure π have a great day!
Lol the title of the review is taking me out πππ We literally did have a lot of the same points fr!!!…
Thank you so much, Lex-nim for taking the time out to read, And yes - see I did say we had similar opinions. Great minds think alike - even for ranting about garbage dramas πππ
All of them are actors and actresses par excellence. Like if they are in a drama cast - you know it is bound to be good, at least in terms of execution and the character that they'll play. Literally they own and bring the character they play to life - most naturally!
Good article - and much needed highlight of grey characters and recognition they deserve ππΌππΌππΌ
Also regarding the title - I know it is a bit mixed, but frankly I have seen bad titles that were simply click-baits with zero correlation to the article topic, or misrepresented. I have often pointed them out in the comment. But I find this one - worth the hook and cleverly spun around the beloved BDSM saga!
Below are my thoughts - would love to know others' perspective! [1 ] Killer J = Satan, because he is the evilest…
That is news to me - that this is the writer's first project. If that is the case then so far it is incredible, and am sure it will open more doors for them. As far as I can see the reception of this drama has been good, and therefore commendable feat by all crew and cast members! ππΌππΌππΌ
Below are my thoughts - would love to know others' perspective! [1 ] Killer J = Satan, because he is the evilest…
Hahaha - yes, we are obsessed but I love how we are discussing it all. You are right - Gabriel heard it on the scene as the officer. But Idk I was just creating the backstory - as this could be a possibility - you know them hearing the pleads.
Lets see how it all unfolds - excited, but its only just Monday - AARRGGHH!
Below are my thoughts - would love to know others' perspective! [1 ] Killer J = Satan, because he is the evilest…
1. Satan is worse - like he is worse than a demon. Demons even if they kill sinners or are supposedly bad, still have rules and order of some sort. Satan is rebelling which is why he was banished from hell, or escaped - because they got greedy. Which is why they don't have any rules and are just killing mindlessly.
The reason I feel they are killing innocents - is like a taunt to the Heaven and Hell and ruling parties there - God/Lucifer etc. Like look what I can do with my power and you cannot stop me from killing people who believe in you.
2. I don't think so - they were just killed but will have to check. They were brutally murdered - like hacked/chopped which kind of showed what kind of twisted person the killer is. Not sure if that is counted or not? And Ep 10 - when Daon's mother feebly asks him to run away and draws attention of the Killer J to her - we can see the act, he is not simply killing, but in rage literally chopping etc.
3. I think the police arrived - and which is what made the Killer J flee rather than going after Daon. Why this happened and if it happened - I think could be cause of his mother's wish that Gabriel somehow answered. Basically a bit of divine intervention - since the mother definitely was a believer - she is shown wearing a cross even if her face is not shown, plus Gabriel (as old lady) tells Daon that he has been looking after him as per his parent's wish (in the episode he meets her in the basement room). So somehow the plea of the believer was heard by angel Gabriel and so he made the police rush. This saved Daon.
So some divine power helped the mother in a way to save Daon, making Killer J/Satan flee - in action: police arrived.
And Gabriel had to leave after this so he ensured the prayers were answered - and therefore made the female police officer become foster mom for Daon.
Even if Gabriel was not there, in a way Daon was protected. Like Killer J did not get a chance to kill him. And I have a feeling something happened to Killer J/Satan after this massacre - because he paused his killings until now - maybe?
The whole mother sacrifice is kind of like how Lily saved Harry Potter (in case you have read/seen), or many other stories where mother's love is the ultimate sacrifice and protection for the kid... I am thinking they drew reference from that.
I have a hard time - relating Kylum to Daon. like am not too sure how it will all piece together - cause if that was the case, Bael would not have Paimon touch him, even if he knew Paimon had no chance. Kylum is also lost from Hell - so if anyone knows Daon is related to Kylum they would have tried to bring it back to Hell/Lucifer.
Too many questions - and the wait is so longggggg!!!
He's definitely alive - I think this was just a great cliffhanger. Justicia still has her power and good reflexes…
They will definitely have a happy ending - unless the writers decide to put a cliffhanger, and killing one of them but leaving it still open ended for Season 2. Honestly would hate that as I am not a fan of multiple seasons - I love how K-dramas have been good with 16 episode format, and even better with 12/14 episodes.
It would be a like those endings I feel - where one of them will be sacrificed and months/years later they will come back. Something like Goblin, Splish Splash Love etc.
I love your review title. It has been a while since I saw this - but someone's review came up on my feed. They had given it 10/10 and I literally threw up in my mouth. Which is why I came to the drama page again and I had liked/upvoted your review a while back - and just read it all over again because it is so on point - we have some similar thoughts, which I highlighted in my own review (https://mydramalist.com/profile/omo-omo-omo/reviews/319699)
Almost a year later and I am still regretting why did I watch this garbage even in 2X speed. Only answer is cause of the Min-Bong cameo and Byeon Woo Seok's Ryu Si Oh, there was no other saving point.
(P.S. I love your profile - so aesthetic. It says under construction: while I would not change a thing because it is so wonderful already, but then I want to see more creativity with the revamped page)
is Han da on is alive or not? if she losses her power how she will take revenge on J ! aah one week i will go…
He's definitely alive - I think this was just a great cliffhanger. Justicia still has her power and good reflexes - so she alone could have stopped the blow. Or yes, like the other MDLers are sharing maybe Mando/Arong have also intervened - and now all four of them will become a team (since we need that to have Finale Battle with Satan/Killer J)
I also shared it in another of my comments - remember how Daon is getting too vengeful? Like he is overall a good character and not a sinner, but because of the death of the detective/foster mother - he is ready to make deal with the devil to get the killer punished. So basically his good soul is starting to get a bit of tinge of evil. So to stop all this - he will be saved but momentary lose consciousness - like a day or few on Earth time, but a lot longer in Hell. This is where he will meet Bael/Lucifer and understand what it truly means to be in Hell. Justicia has also been telling him that he should carefully think before making a deal with her - as he does not know what Hell is, and should get a taste of it in order to decide. So basically human Daon has been foolish (in the eyes of higher power) and saying things like I don't care, I am ready to go to hell to have Killer J killed. But this will give him perspective that he meant to be good and serve a greater good purpose.
Therefore - if we see next week trailer - no place Daon is shown, but when Justicia is in some kind of trouble, and Arong is asking/shouting for help - a car dashboard is shown, meaning someone is rushing in to save her. I believe this will be Daon ready to save her, having recovered his consciousness. He is the ML so the whole fast car chase is probably going to be all heroic!
Also I think we will have either of them sacrificing themselves towards the finale, right now it is too soon for anyone of them to be dead.
Bael probably took her powers for killing Paimon - as Paimon was only following Bael's orders, and Justicia intervened. Also, she has become a bit human-like having feelings etc - so maybe a total punishment is not killing her, but taking her powers away. I am still believing this is Bael's ultimate plan to make her feel more compassion even if she was a Judge from Hell.
Below are my thoughts - would love to know others' perspective! [1 ] Killer J = Satan, because he is the evilest…
[1] Why Killer J left Daon alive? Basis the last episode - I think he was distracted. Like Daon's mother started speaking and hence he got to her first - and Daon in the meantime got into his room and possibly called the police, along with Gabriel looking out somehow - which is why he was the police officer who was the first responder probably (not that Gabriel knew Daon but heard the mother's prayers - cause he helps the good and poor)
[2] Daon - Evil or Not? And yes - not Bael, but Paimon says he is not a sinner = so Bael says then make him, only then he can kill him. But we know he is not dead - but there we were left on a cliffhanger.
I think he was on the verge of having evil thoughts - you are also a sinner if you kill someone in thoughts, this has also been said. So in a way this is again a big plan by Bael/Lucifer/Powers Supreme to make Daon get a taste of hell. He might faint for a few minutes/lose consciousness during which time he will get to experience hell - have a 1:1 with the powers running this whole situation and he will come back with determination to catch Killer J/Satan while following the right path. In fact he will even help Bitna/Justicia not to go astray. Also, I say this - because remember Bitna/Justicia has also been saying that before he makes a deal with her, he should experience Hell. So in fact when the time comes Justicia would be faced with some difficult options - and Daon will either sacrifice himself or make her remain on the path of righteousness and true justice.
[3] Original Bitna Regarding original Bitna - I still have only assumptions, can't really conclude on what she has done that made her getting stabbed and being sent to hell. And if she was a sinner through and through then there should have been no issues and Bael should have allowed Justicia to give her judgement. But I think there were some "fineprint of Terms and Conditions" that were not followed. Like I think Bitna has been an accomplice to Satan/Killer J (if its Assemblyman) and there are cases where she did not deliver justice - so she was to go to hell but a more severe one that what Justicia looked after. Or there is something wrong entirely and Bitna too is a victim of sorts.
But like I said - we have hardly uncovered any part of her story so too stretched to conclude anything. Lets see what the detective duo discover - I think we will get to see it in the next 4 episodes - more so Justicia has lost her powers, so she too will try to see what original Bitna was upto - and both sides will discover the reason behind Bitna being stabbed and being sent to Hell.
yess gremory still cares abt justitia. That is the only important idk if i really care for her hating da on cause…
yeah - I think her character is pitted against Mando. Basically showing us a difference of what loyalty and idol-worshipping means.
Mando - is a true loyal follower of Justicia. He might hate her methods at times, and be scared of her, but he truly cares, respects / worships her and her ideals/methods etc.
Gremory - is what you'd call the sheep, and a little to into it - making her forget the right from wrong. I think this is what Bael wanted them all to understand and hence sent them on Earth as humans - just because they are demons does not mean they have to the utmost evil and follow whatever they have been told. Being with humans was meant to invoke their sense for "justice" which is what the show is about. Wherever humans fall short of punishing the evil humans - that is where this team of demons must step up and finish the job.
maybe this is not the end, Satan did not really go to Hell and is lurking around and final battle remains.
