How the hell do you have such a mid love scene with freaking Perth of all actors?! That's it, no more romance shows for you, Chimon! Poor boy can't act affectionate to save his life and looks like he'd rather be anywhere but in Perth's arms, just let him be the cool angry side character please.
PerthChimon was great in Never Let Me Go without any action nor screen time, how did we get here? Well, maybe they were great exactly because of that...
Guy and Nawa doing romantic things (feeding each other, etc.) while taunting each other without realising it is stupidly hilarious to me. There was some improvement in their relationship because they were clearly stalling during that bathroom showdown. They’re so dumb and obvious I love them.
Meanwhile Perth and Chimon keep giving besties vibes but it’s ok I’m done mourning. I hope we get to see them with a better script someday, or maybe something with Perth and Ohm instead?
Why am I more into Guy/Nawa than the main couple played by freaking Perth and Chimon what has this mess of a show done to me??!! I had such high hopes god dammit!
The first two episodes were interesting, but then it devolved into any other plotless romance BL and the main characters lost most of their spunk. It's hitting all the usual beats : tripping into each other's arms, staring into each other's soul for way too long, "we actually know each other from when we were kids but you forgot me", the symbolic object (here an umbrella) that will become merch, moving in together with some bull excuse... and I'm expecting the "convincing disapproving parents" episode, the asleep kiss followed by panic and avoidance, as well as misunderstandings based on poor communication and assumptions to follow soon.
I'm just hoping it's all part of some strategy to give Perth and Chimon a "gradual" BL career that will keep fans interested throughout. I've noticed that they sometimes do that with new actors. First a bland plot with very tame romance because they can still rely on the novelty of the couple, then they go more niche and heavier little by little. I really hope they get better stuff in the future because their acting is top notch.
I'm pretty sure I'm laughing at moments I'm not supposed to but, hey, I'm laughing nonetheless. And the plot is a step up from Cutie Pie. And that secretary is welcome to invade my screen all day every day.
As I feared, Kanghan suddenly became 100% nice and Sailom barely did a double take. A bit of a shame in my opinion (and very unrealistic) but I’ll keep watching. I wanted more of smartass Sailom flipping Kanghan’s schemes around, dammit!
Okay, sue me but I don't want Kanghan to become good too fast. Can he have a half-asshole phase and apologise to Sailom before we enter the nice guy stage please? I want slow burn, dilemmas, tension and ambiguity! Give me all the bittersweet before the fully sweet!
I agree, he doesn't seem overly protective. Even his reaction in episode 2 felt lacking.
Right??? He was more busy asking Kanghan who he is, never asked if his brother is ok. I thought it was bad writing/acting but since that's fine in all the other scenes, it might be foreshadowing...
I am surprised how this show as thrown all harsh reality of life. I don't understand how people are like this…
I was laughing my ass off the whole time the loan shark boss was on screen. Pepper's a major miscast, but they needed the character to be handsome and youthful because of the romance with Sailom's brother I guess.
