its just the plot of the story. in the novel, linglong's martial arts is so-so compared to zhan zhao and bai yutang but she can fight. and its not a trend. the dramas you mentioned just have that drama plot and its nothing new.

my only advice is for u guys to watch it yourself and judge it yourself. there are many dramas with low ratings that might be not others cup of tea but u might like. this one is good for me so far

maybe 50/50 good and bad. heard her character is the OG loveline of ML but in the drama theres no romance and i found out that yuxi's character is a special appearance so im not sure if she'll have many screentime with the ML
