Yh unfortunately. It was my biggest shock factor and many people too. A lot of people, like me and you, like IQIYI…
I never subscribed to any other platform apart from iQIYI because most of Bai lu's dramas were there but since she is sort of free from that platform, yeah it is surprising to see how WeTV works.
There are plenty of dramas from MangoTV I ended up not watching or finishing all for the same reason you stated. The subbing is the worst. I wonder how others can subscribe VIP to them when they seem to not like international viewers because its been years and they still don't improve the subs.
OMG! I didn't know that. I thought once you get the express it's already enough. So the big cash cows are youku and WeTV then. I thought iQIYI was one of them but seeing WeTV now, iQIYI was basic. At times like this I wish Netflix does a better job. We have disney + but it doesn't cater to all regions.
As a Bai Lu fan who's used to iQIYI, I was surprised by how different Tencent's system is. With iQIYI, once you purchase a VIP subscription, you can usually access all of the latest available episodes. Tencent, however, seems to work differently. I'm already subscribed as a VIP member, but now they're asking me to upgrade and pay even more to watch the newest episodes.
I didn't expect a VIP subscription to have another premium tier on top of it. π
right i forgot about those two but I still think that majority of the people in Lishan mountain had died already, including the son they asked about. Ye li is probably in a state of delusion or she simply doesn't want to tell the truth, I feel like she is suffering from post trauma because she's even talking to a girl she can only see and the monkey are part of her symptoms probably just like the girl
Any idea, which dynasty is this set in? As in ik this is their own, but the clothing style and the working of…
The author of Mo Li did not base the story on a single historical dynasty. Like many Chinese historical dramas, it draws inspiration from multiple periods to create a fictional world rather than faithfully recreating one specific era. One clear example can be seen in the military armor designs shown in Episode 2's flashback, during Mo Xiuyao's first encounter with the younger Ye Li, the armor he wears does not appear to be a strict Tang Dynasty reconstruction. While the military atmosphere and emphasis on powerful generals evoke the Tang era, the armor itself incorporates design elements more commonly associated with later dynasties, particularly the Ming Dynasty. This blending of influences reflects the overall approach of the drama: Tang-inspired political and military culture combined with visual aesthetics borrowed from other periods. As a result, Mo Li is better understood as a fictional historical setting that draws from multiple dynasties rather than a drama exclusively inspired by the Tang Dynasty.
