That’s why he couldn’t handle it when our girl didn’t fall in line. He doesn’t love her — he just can’t stand not being in control. In his head, our ML is the reason for all his suffering, not his own mistakes. And he’s willing to go as far as it takes to stop him — even if that means killing him.
