If they f this up like A love so beautiful, I'm really going to sue. Don't mess with my boy Shin, turn him into a nice guy and make this boring. They also need to cast someone stunningly pretty for his role.
No offence but I miss Melodramas like this, there was passion, madness, anger and revenge. This is what Melodramas are supposed to deliver not snoozefests.
Was interested bc I'm in desperate need for a good Melodrama that does the genre right but clumsy ML isn't really my thing and this sounds kinda boring. Guess it's a pass for me.
slice of life dramas dont have too much dramas or villains... hospital playlist and reply series were also like…
Hm thx but not really, the 50 - 100 dramas are usually very family friendly and the acting sucks. And of course I can, that was never up for debate but that they're becoming less. The past few Melodrama and Romance drama I watched were ... at least let there be one struggle. I don't even mind these types of drama, I loved Hospital Playlist bc despite being calm, there was stuff happening. I tried Run on on Netflix and left a comment. Didn't expect it to turn into a whole discussion lol
Rewatching this and I really don't understand the low ratings. It's so much fun amd entertaining with loveable, interesting characters. Hope the remake will do it justice (especially Shin) unlike A love so beautiful.

What are we even debating over? The fact that a lot of romance drama are flopping? That a lot Koreans think new (Romance) dramas are boring? I mean that's true. If you like this that's great, but it's boring to me. I wish we'd get the drama back in Kdramas.
Super excited but I hope they don't f this up like they did the A love so beautiful remake. Partly why this is good is bc the cold ML turns soft for her. If you take that away it's boring.

Every BOF version up to this day has been successful and I just name dropped it bc you said dramas nowadays are doing better than before which they aren't. As I said, the most recent Romance hit was CLOY. No one said that all Romance dramas are flopping (in SK), just that a lot do despite doing well internationally. It's not surprising since I've repeatedly seen Koreans complain they're too boring and why Rollercoasters like Penthouse are more successful.

That's definitely not true, stuff like BOF, Stairway to heaven, Descendant of the sun etc- were huge hits and had an impact. There was no getting past them and the huge, recent Romance drama with the same achievement was Crash landing on you. Sure some do well intentionally (which isn't much either, since we're a little number) but in Korea they flopped. I've seen Koreans complaing how recent romance dramas are boring, there was even an article where the FL cried bc her drama flopped in SK and the top comments were all, well it's boring, not really a surprise.
