Always looking forward to your articles dear @Ebisuno92 and @Seonsaeng xD
Apart from the two MLs, who did an excellent job portraying their characters and their bromance, the character of Xiao Si, even though a supporting role with a short screen time and almost no lines, was the most mysterious and intriguing one.
The open, dissatisfying ending and some pacing issues definitely can't be ignored, but overall it was an enjoyable watch.
A social commentary about the wrenching reality parents with mentally impaired children face every day, their endless race against time and people's prejudice and a tribute to their love, devotion and unbreakable bonding with their challenged kids.
With all the familiar cast members and their fantastic teamwork and backstage failures comedy, it is as refreshing, absurd and equally genuine as the parent story.
and the story of a disgraced, socially expelled father who tries to reconciliate with his family and hometown community and is forced to mature and move on.
Not overly talkative, not overly 'forced' dramatic, but with some strong, very emotional scenes and some wonderfully depicted character development.
A story full of grey characters, selfishness, bullying, grief, guilt and whys - definitely not for the faint hearted. And, in spite of some plot and character portrayal cons, a compelling watch.
Jeon Yeo Bin with her stellar performance -proving her versatility as a talented actress- was undeniably the star of this movie.
Don't let doubts stop you to get close.
#Make Your Move"
The story was too slow paced, but the visuals got me through it.
Thank you @Cho Na for this delightful retrospective :)
The beautiful scenery of Jeju Island and the healing power of the sea, with its enchanting waves and breeze, were definitely the biggest plus.
