You may not have watched those dramas. just 3 example the FLs who are powerful, smart on their own with martial art to boot from recent dramas: the FL in A journey to love, the FL in Love in Pavillion, and I dropped LoFG but the FL there is cute and smart and great at martial art ( though i dropped the drama for some reasons).

Many Cdramas do have smart and capable female characters though
