I have not read the novel but I honestly think that Ye Xian will be good to Jin Chao.I cannot see him as bad since Yan Yun chose him to be around the young crown prince.We are only at episode 8 so we will see him gradually change. At least I hope so.

Cdrama rarely follow novel 100%. Same thing happened with a very good character in fated heart novel. the drama butchered him. I am glad I have not read the novel yet.
