I am sorry to say that this drama was a total waste of my time. The lead actress was so off putting. she had a serious case of inferiority complex. I felt so bad for her ex-fiancé. For someone she claimed to love and was about to marry, she wasn't curious about him at all. even when she found out the whole story, all she cared about was playing the victim. The lead male character was so forgettable. apart from his job there wasn't anything else interesting about him. The other characters were poorly written with alcohol as the most important binding factor. Was this review helpful to you?
The attempts at comic relief(lawless law office crew) failed woefully and the end of the villains was really bland.
If you are in search of a satisfying revenge drama, this is not it.

I watched this show while it was still ongoing which is risky as I quickly lose interest if the storyline is boring ,but this show kept me coming back.Jang Nara was amazing as usual as well as the rest of the cast. It was refreshing to watch a mature drama without cheap tropes and over the top characters. This was well written and it showed that the screenwriter had knowledge about the legal scene.
I loved how the topic divorce was thoroughly explored, the usual causes, the effect on both parties and the children as well as bouncing back after a divorce.
A job well done .

It was interesting, but I found the ending anticlimactic because the reason for the whole premise that the show was built on, which kept us curious was so stupid.I couldn’t muster up any pity for the Jun Seo guy. He chose to be friends with the guys for 20 years! And in doing so, put himself in a situation where he was used by them just like their psychopathic serial killer friend was. He betrayed his friend, stayed friends with these guys for personal gain, and conveniently got his old friends involved in his sordid life to play clean-up. And then they tried to use him asking for forgiveness ten times in 20 years to get sympathy from the public? Please spare me. You can beg for forgiveness, but you are not "entitled" to it. It goes without saying that his "friends" are horrible but Jun Seo being made out to be a victim was upsetting. I will admit that he found himself in some crappy situations, but be it because of fear, loyalty or desperation, those were still HIS choices. If he was really that bothered and righteous why did he wait all those years to reveal the truth? Seems more like a pay back for how he was treated when he asked for their help for his daughter. The Victim in this story was captain Jang who got thrown into the whole mess without a choice. Aside from the policewomen, there really weren't any likeable characters, but I guess that's what the story was trying to portray, that we as humans are all flawed. It was an interesting but frustrating watch.

the only way to enjoy this show is to totally block away the chinese version from your mind. Watching this made me appreciate go Ahead even more. i know it couldn't have been easy to try to tell this story in 16 episodes but there were too many things missing. The periods where it felt like nothing was happening in the original spoke volumes!. Her waiting to hear from them, it being too painful for her to see them go away so she travelled to see relatives, her treating them like strangers(because they had become strangers). I was not a big fan of this translation of her yelling at them, i preferred the original. The mother wasn't some unreasonable idiot like she is portrayed in this one, her character was dumbed down and the essence taken away. she was a mother who carried around the guilt of leaving her child and blaming him and not knowing how to rectify this, she tried holding on to him in an unhealthy way which was exhausting for him and her, also her trying to set him up with someone else showed her yearning to build something ''new'' with him that didn't include their past. she coped by ignoring things(tearing up pictures of her daughter, leaving her marriage and child, trying to get him away from the girl who knew about their skeletons).

Hats off to the second female lead, she really got my blood boiling and had me screaming delulu! at my TV screen.
I will definitely recommend this drama and can see my self watching again. I loved the lesson being sent …>the fact that a person doesn’t show their pain or wear it on their sleeves, doesn’t mean they have it better than you.

This was a re-watch for me. A friends to lovers drama, both leads were matured and actually had personality. I am a big fan of kdrama’s clean cinematography but it was nice to see actors looking like real human beings and being relatable. The male lead was a ladies man without the added obnoxiousness. I won’t mind watching this again and will recommend this for someone looking for a break from the usual in your face kdrama tropes and cliches.I wish certain side characters got a little more screen time although them not getting more screen time didn’t affect the drama significantly.

I first watched this when it was released and got an opportunity to watch it again recently. All the characters brought their A-game. It had me smiling one minute and crying the next. I wish the older brother got a better ending and I really hated thatMin woo, the walking red flag did not get punished.
On a side note he is a good example of why people advise that one shouldn’t just look at how a person treats them but also how the treat other people, especially those they believe are beneath them.

I was about to give up on this genre because they all seemed to go the same way, a strong start and then every reason why one started watching in the first place dwindles away. so ahhhh... this was a breath of fresh air after watching some aimless shows. it kept my interest from the first episode till the end. no plot holes, the ML and FL were fun to watch. This was definitely a well thought out storyline. no useless characters, everyone had a role to play in bringing this story together and I must say they did a good job. Definitely worth watching, a thriller with a little sprinkle of romance:) Was this review helpful to you?

I watched this drama consistently till the 10th episode and then kept skipping till the last episode. it started off strong with characters who piqued my interest, this unfortunately lasted only for the first 7 episodes and went downhill from there. This drama should have ben a movie because it was a story which could have been told in 2 hours. The writer was grasping at straws with the premise for suspense, nothing was said about the person who hit the comatose guy, also the second ML wasn't racing against himself, so why was there no mention of the others involved. if you are watching for romance, this will be a disappointing watch because neither the main nor second leads had chemistry between them.

Mine is most likely an unpopular opinion. I would have probably enjoyed this drama if it was released some years back. in comparison to what we have now it came off really lacking. The story was all over the place and the fight scenes which were supposed be the attracting factor were nothing special. The actors were good but due to poor character development, I found it had to muster up emotions which I should have had for some scenes. This was a Storyline which could have been a hit but just missed the mark Was this review helpful to you?
