I wonder if Kay is suffering under multiple personality disorder
That’s an interesting theory to me as someone with that disorder. The disorder you mentioned is referred to as Dissociative Identity Disorder/Otherwise Specified Dissociative Disorder now because the disorder is not a personality disorder, rather a trauma based one (for those curious about it). It involves altered states of consciousness created when a young child goes through intense and repeated trauma while the personality is forming (up to the age of 7).
I think this is an interesting idea, but to me Kay displays more of a personality disorder than a trauma based on just from the scenes of him in the bathroom mirror (maybe ASPD or HPD or a combination of the two is possible). It would be interesting to have a character coded with any of these disorders, but it could mean the writers will (likely unknowingly) fall into playing on negative stereotypes about these demonized disorders.
That ending was so fluffy omg. I really enjoyed the fluff in this episode (Niran cleaning Pete’s wounds, the head hold right before Niran performs the mandate of heaven appealing ritual, the ending that went back and showed the night Pete passed out drunk on Niran and how the jade necklace glowed with power). Ugh it was so sweet.
Something I maybe didn't get right - Li Puo could survive back then when he was very young only because Qi Rong…
So the killers were likely a government contracted vigilante style police force that enforced prohibition style laws on narcotics and alcohol. Their goal was to ultimately eliminate the drug addiction problem in their country by murdering the people with the substances in their possession.
Ya’ll do realize this is enemies to friends trope (not explicitly) in a psychological thriller, right? This is not a bl, and the trailer did nothing to denote a bl. At best, they give unintentional qpr (a queer platonic relationship, which is often a deep friendship between aroacespec people). I will wait till I see the first two eps to determine if they are qpr coded or not. But like, for the most part, they will probably be two unlabeled sexuality dudes that are reluctant friends.
I’m happy that we got Li Puo’s background right before his death scene, it made it much more impactful. And the way Niran projected over to give him peace of mind and a safe passage towards whatever afterlife and judgment was waiting for Li Puo was a nice touch.
I am curious about heat . When will Omega suffer from heat? It’s because they are separated from their Alpha?…
So heats are like periods, and in many omegaverse stories, they are monthly occurrences. Like in real life, if they are cyclical enough, they can be tracked to a certain week out of the month, but that’s a small detail that this show might not touch upon. Therefore, the heats occurring aren’t necessarily because an alpha exists in the vicinity of the omega, and it is a biological process meant to mimic what women face in real life. Nesting is a comfort thing to help alleviate pain, it doesn’t have to be super complicated.
niran undoing all of their hard work just cuz he can't bear to see pete be heartbroken fucking KILLED me bro.…
I had a feeling Niran would breakdown and do anything for Pete, including bringing his sister back from limbo basically. But damn, it surely cost him living life in his own body in the end.
