I'm a little confused about the episodes. So, the most recent Uncut English Sub version is episode 43 but it states that it is (TV version 47-48) and there is no Episode 44 of the Uncut Eng Sub available. But, Ep 43 is not TV versions 47-48, it is only Ep. 47 of the TV version. Neither TV versions 47 and 48 are Eng Subbed. So, does anyone know why we are missing Ep 44 Uncut Eng Sub version? Or if not, whether they'll Sub Eps 47-48? I'm sure they will right? I'm just wondering for tomorrow's episode 49, because the whole bathroom scene with YWY and CQ start at the end of Episode 48 and I'd like to get the Eng Sub because it's unclear whether CQ or YWY know it's each other at all since they just both happen to be at the same place at the same time: CQ to find her new friend and escape and YWY just to res up for the night in his search for CQ and sit in a hot tub that's apparently good for treating his cold illness?

SO, since it's weekend soon, and we're all going to be biting our nails for Monday's episodes, in the meantime, anyone catch any of the variety shows with our leads? I watched some with ZLY - that girl just loves to eat! I heard her nickname is "baozi" meaning dumpling. lol~ And then Lin Geng Xin... I know now what a phenomenal actor he is because it seems in real like he is totally totally different from Yuwen Yue! Not that I expected them to be the same, but it's such as contrast because he has such a strong jawline he looks very mature and serious! But no... he's pretty hilarious. He's incredibly adorkable, goofy and just plain silly! I watched him in the Chinese Running Man and also Let Me Go Baby and he's just a plain silly dork (in the best way possible). Let Me Go Baby doesn't have subtitles so it's a bit hard to understand (and is it just me or do Chinese people slur a lot when they speak in real life?) but I'm enjoying them. Anyone else watch these variety shows and could recommend others?

I know these are just theories, but my take was she was sneaking around to get somewhere else, and then YY called for the new made to give him a massage, and she got a little jealous. That's why later she calls him a pervert. I don't think YY knew it was CQ until he saw scars on her back and then for sure when she was laying on the bed and he was falling towards her and the curtain unveiled her face, bc before that she was trying to hide her face during the fight. And YY has had other female assassins (e.g. ep 1) so he may have thought it was just another assassin. Just my own interpretation. :) Can't wait until Monday to really find out! I swear if this is another 30 second hoax like the last time I'm going to throw a fit.

She basically calls him a pervert, and he says something like you're the one who came into a man's bedroom (i.e., to you started the seduction), but of course, you're the righteous one. Then she glares at him, and he says are you not satisfied? Then, come on. And that's when she kicks him. And when he goes to open the closet door she says there's someone in there. It's so cute. Based on the preview before she goes to the bedroom I think she hears that a new maid is supposed to serve YY? And when she is trying to sneak into another room, YY calls to her (thinking she is the new maid) and says heard you're good with a massage, come and give me one. That's loosely what I think I heard. Which makes me think CQ was a bit jealous and was like, punkass I'll show you a massage. But YY is right. Technically, CQ undressed him first when she loosened his robe for the massage. lol~

LOL! I know right? And towards the end of that bedroom fight CQ is throwing pillows and stuff at him and he's just blocking himself, like cut it out. Nothing serious at all. I swear, it's always like a lover's quarrel and nothing serious at all.

I have to agree, I love YWY. He doesn't treat the female lead as a delicate flower or some nonsense like that. He treats her equally, and if she needs help he'll give it but he's pretty much like you handle it on your own. I'll give you my advice and what I think but you make your own decisions. So I love the pairing with CQ. He's so snarky and they both give each other shit but never in a way you feel like it's out of line. It borders it but you can kind of tell they don't really mean it and they're just doing it to get a rise out of each other.

Finally, after 30 long episodes, YY and CQ are reunited!!! I hope it lasts a few episodes before she hops back to Yanbei!

Yes! That's exactly what I thought too! YY is going to be so happy to (eventually, someday) find out she loves him!

It's part of the previews for Monday. These people, I swear! I knew they'd put this for a Monday!

Gad dang it! I knew they'd do this! They always put these types of previews on Thursday just to get our blood boiling! WTH drama! Yeah... I saw it too and I'm like, finally!

I suspected he would be killed after he put Lady Lan's son in the box thinking I bet he won't make it back alive and the little prince will suffocate in there. I think in order to adjust for the amnesia vs. time travel element of the story, they had to put Lady Lan in the story. So I think Lady Lan will take Yuwen Huai's place and work with Chun'er to kill Chu Qiao. And that could tie into the Chu Qiao/Luo He's daughter backstory because so far aside from this enigmatic Mr. Wu of Yanbei, Lady Lan is the only one who knows Chu Qiao's identity.

YES!! That's right! I forgot about that steel fan dude! Yeah, it's like they play a big role and then kapow! And that's it. Are they trying to emulate Game of Thrones or something? I don't know. It doesn't seem to work here bc now I'm like, how is everything going to wrap up?? I have to say though, the sheer fact that all of us are like WTF, what's going to happen next! We can't guess! must be a good sign. And if by some miracle they pull off an amazing ending.. well shit, this drama is going to go down in my books as one of the best.

What, you don't like hearing that? Well, good riddance bc you can't focus on a girl there is still a lot for you to do. And YY was like, yeah Prince Xiang and I are going to go after YX and the GF said no way dude, stay put. There's a reason why your dad faked being ill so he doesn't have to mobilize the troops in the emperor's favor. And YY was like, yo, I'm loyal to the people of Wei not the emperor and what I do is for them. And the GF was like, I raised a total idiot. What would your dad say, and YY was I don't give a damn what my father thinks. He abandoned me 20 years ago. My mother was killed and I was abandoned, and faced so many life threatening circumstances and he never once helped. If he can't protect his own wife and child, how is he going to protect a nation. I don't want to be a hero like that. Thank you for raising me but I'm grown now, I no longer need a father's love that I never felt anyway, and as for you, I'll set you up with a few trusty slaves and you can come out of the secret chamber now bc Yuwen Huai is dead. So don't tell me what to do anymore. Peace out. That's basically what he said. Sorry, that part totally was awesome so I watched it twice. You never have scenes like this in dramas where the son or grandson are just like, F- you, I'm grown and I'm saying my peace and you stay out of my way from now on. It was great to watch!! Go Yuwen Yue! Which is doubly why I'm annoyed that he hasn't had much screen time. WTF drama!!!!

By the way, does anyone think it's weird that they just killed off Yuwen Huai just like that? I mean, he was the premier bad guy in the first half and then Chu Qiao just kills him like that?? I have a feeling the writing is getting a bit sloppier now heading towards the ending. I hope it isn't because they no longer have a script in the form of the book to follow in order to wrap up the major plot point of the story: who is Chu Qiao and how to bring her secret background reveal into the story effectively.

Let's hope the season 2 thing is just speculation. I mean I don't care if they have a season 2 as long as they wrap up this story properly. And I read that they've deviated from the book enough that we can look forward something pretty different for an ending. I've decided that I'm just going to watch this as a singular drama with no book references and see how they end it. Who knows, maybe they shot enough where they can pull out an extension!
