I'm so relieved that the series is resuming. So looking forward to Friday! I think the rating will go back up. Frankly I think viewers including myself were furious that this series might be banned and cancelled. I've been rewatching the first 10 episodes. While they are adult in nature, the sexual stuff was low key and more suggested than actually demonstrated. Personally being a little more explicit would be ok with me, but I'm, also, very interested in character development and relationship building. A little romance with the male aggressive passion would rock!

I was kind of replused by Chi Cheng initially because in the first episode he along with his former friend gave away a person as spoils of a lost snake fight. Then, later Chi Cheng "gave" a traitor to his men to rape but he "graciously" said not to hurt him to the point of death. Yuck!

When you got past the spoiled rich guy syndrome and lack of human decency, his character seemed different. Going forward from episode 2 he was more likeable and seemed to have somewhat better values. None of that excuses his deplorable behavior in episode 1...but, keep in mind none of this is REAL. It's all a make believe story.

After episode one the story is really pretty good. YueYue becomes the gold digging *itch who tries to maliciously kill his favorite snake. The 2 ML and the 2 second lead couples are intriguing and cute.

Watch "What a Good Girl" on Iqiyi in the mobile app (It's a vertical film.). I personally don't smoke nor would I encourage anyone to do so. But, damn! Kechun is HOT when he lights up those thin cigs.

I'm an avid fan of BL and I'm glad quality GL is now being aired. I'm an older woman with basically 4 children I've raised: 2 girls and 2 boys. Unfortunately my contempories and even my family would ridicule me and criticize me for openly watching BL. They already have a contemptuous attitude toward my obsession with Asian dramas. I got hooked in 2020. So, many Asian productions are exceptionally good. I'm English speaking and love reading so reading subtitles is no big deal to me. Their attitudes are insulting.

Please do explain. Respectfully China seems to place extreme pressure on celebrities and especially BL content and actors. Scary political pressure. I would like to understand better.

Since you've lived in China, I seriously want your perspective on their censorship of BL content and actors. "Addicted" got seriously banned and the main actors could never work together again. Recently numerous danmei writers ( mostly young women) have been arrested and put in prison. "Word of Honor" was enormously popular, then, information about China thinking BL was morally corrupt promoting a deviant lifestyle surfaced. Censorship kicked in big time. "Immortality" got shelved. "Justice in the Dark" aired 8 out of 30 episodes and got taken off air. I'm legitimately interested about the average Chinese person's attitude toward all this.

The Chinese writers and actors are so exceptionally good! Then, the Chinese censorship gremlins get their hands on a good BL and tank it! It's not worth getting interested in or excited about their BL productions because their government is afraid anyone heterosexual is going to get sucked into the dark side and stop having babies. I think I'll stick with Thai and Japanese BLs and maybe Taiwanese if China doesn't screw their productions up too.

It's only on mobile. I can't watch it on my TV either. I've watched this about 10 times. I love the main couple!

So, who paid the FL's enormous debt: Bohan, Jingchu or her? And, I kind of got a crush on Jingchu because he obviously loved her but selflessly did nothing aggressive to sway her emotions since she really loved Bohan.

Yeah, but really! Not one kiss or good kiss with the supposedly deeply in love ma in couple! The cute secondary couple carried the series by providing a warm glow.

Agreed! The last few episodes do resemble a drug induced the haze🤪

When is the Thai version coming out?

The whole thing with the bully girl and bully boy was a letdown and unnecessarily tragic. ZZW loved her unconditionally and just when their romance was finally happening ..splat! Tragedy! They were just obsessed selfish immature kids. Morally did karma have to be so cruel?

It wasn't necessarily "blah", but it was confusing and the romantic reconcilation of the main ML and FL was diluted by poor editing.
