To be for real, what he did after their break up was very realistic. That's what most people do these days. Also, even if he dated another girl, it clearly showed he never really fell for them, the only one he ever loved was Zhou Wan.

This drama had everything about yearning and romance which I needed. I am so glad it wasn't filled with cliche tropes. I especially loved their past story so much but their adult self hit different, it is quite a shame we didn't get more of their adult life, if only there were more episodes. Also, I fell in love with Bao Shangen, her chemistry with her costars from Zhou Yiran to Zhou Keyu is really strong. I am going to miss them.

I just finished watching ashes to crown, I am back here to rewatch. Glad to see new comments appreciating this underated gem. Mo Qingyan remains a toptier character for me.

I also learned not to trust ratings here because really good dramas tend to be rated low while the badly written or overhyped ones are rated high. It doesn't make sense sometimes. This drama is certainly not for everyone but for those who liked those old type of wuxia then this is a perfect drama because the wuxia here is really amazing.

It got downvoted by others when it was airing and it wasn't also some peoples' cup of tea. I don't trust the ratings on this forum at all because I believe this drama deserved more.

I really loved this drama since the start. It was interesting and really good. I am just a bit disappointed because I kind of expected a lot. The plot was quite a mess but thankfully the actors were the saving grace of the show. Zhou Yiran and Chen Duling as well as the rest of the cast did an amazing job.

he is dominating in historical dramas these days....I thought his visual was already the best in modern dramas but he showed himself here...now I believe his beauty is made for historicals

I think I will hold off watching todays episode and tomorrow, so I can collect them?? this is torture the single ep per day is too cruel

He is a really good actor. Loved him in modern dramas but recently he is proving he excels in historical dramas too. I wish him the best.

i've managed to watch 6 episodes of this, it started really interesting and cute but I feel like the plot around the plagiarism stuff has been dragging, when will the leads eventually get together? I've watched slow burns before so I have lots of patience for this tropes but somehow in this drama it's sort of not selling for me but i still want to try continue watching it because of the leads.

This drama is not for everyone and editing wasn't A-level quality style like the usual high budget produced cdramas now a days, this drama brings back the old wuxia style. I suggest for those who don't know if it will be worth it or not, try watching atleast 7 episodes first before you decide just because of other peoples comments. Who knows you might end up liking this one because we all basically have different likes and dislikes after all.

Goodbye to this drama. The best part for me was the first part, i'm a bit sad the second part failed to deliver like the first. I think more episodes would have helped with the second arc of the story and made it more compelling sadly 40 eps were too little for this.
