KM: "Why is it that I can't trust that Kim Do Ha?"Me: Really? Ydk?? Must you deluded yourself like that? It's…
I'd say he's the prime suspect based on evidence and his mother's numerous attempts to bury the case, not to mention he hid the truth for 6 years himself. I mean the ring wasn't even presented. Why should anyone assume he's actually a good guy despite all these? We see Do-ha being cute all day, no one in the police does.

What did he do that was so annoying? At least he's really investigating while Do ha's family and friends just…
You are just willfully ignoring the part where I said 'partly'. But let me explain, he had 6 years to go to the police and tell everyone what happened. Can you imagine, he left a bleeding psychotic woman at the beach and she didn't come back home, her brother came chasing him to the bus station and he wasn't worried at all. That brother had problem of course but him carrying around a knife and obsessively tracking Do-ha - all stems from his compliance with his mother's plan. He is his own person and could tell the truth anytime, if not right away then maybe a year or 2 later, but he didn't. He just assumed her body washed away and kept feeling guilty for 6 long years. That psycho brother was already on the brink of a break down, this conspiracy to shove the case under a blanket only implicates Do-ha. If the police didn't properly investigate it was bcz of him. And I understand that Do-ha is human too, a sensitive one on top of that and I have no qualm about him making a mistake but this was a side by side analysis of his character with Kang-min's. I was just trying to show why Do-ha comes of as suspicious and why Kang-min is seeing him as a possible suspect. This is an impressive list of mistakes and bad choices that Do-ha made and Sol-hi sees them as signs of a person struggling bcz she's in love and knows him better. Not everyone owes him that.

It's evident since day 1 that Hwang Min Hyun's acting is stiff. His angry and crying scenes are also not convincing…
I watched Seasons of Blossoms, I consider that an angsty role too tbh, Ha-min was serious, sort of introverted in a way that illudes you. But I get you, there's a nice energy when he's being just vulnerable and true or messing with So-mang.

Ji-hun does angsty roles well, his previous projects are evidence enough, I'd really like smth different now. I wonder if he can do cutesy roles, I can't even imagine but makes me excited all the same.

What if it's her dad? Or even her brother and he just doesn't remember it?
True^_^
But I don't think anybody's amnesiac in this drama. Kang-min did point out a possibility but Do-ha seems okay to me. And the crazy bro is too crazy to be amnesiac. But I get you:)

There could be a silver lining here. We're all cursing Do-ha for letting Mr loony go... but what if that annoying…
It'd be funny actually, but I can bet my head it's not him.

I am a fan of the actor specifically bcz of this role. Kang-min is nicer as a character than even the leads sometimes, and that takes some formidable acting. Of course you are free to not like him, I was expecting some logical reason but as I understand you can't stand him bcz he is a potential rival for Sol-hi's love (and he plays that part so well even though he doesn't have a chance!). Kang-min is real in a drama so decidedly not real, so I don't understand you. But to each their own, I guess.

What she says shouldn't matter for a cop. Her power clearly has loopholes and for one second think that if it wasn't this drama we wouldn't be so sure that Do-ha didn't do it. We know it's not him bcz his face is on the poster, but every evidence and incident speak against that and still Kang-min didn't generically think of him as the killer. Kang-min is human too, cares about Sol-hi but he is also incredibly decent. He didn't do anything invasive. The case is totally influenced by Do-ha's mum and as a cop he smells that and naturally it makes Do-ha suspicious and he really was popping pills like popcorn before meeting Sol-hi. If anything, Kang-min is helping him by solving the mystery, that's what the ex's brother deserved - closure. He went mad out of grief and partly that's Do-ha's fault. He should've stopped feeling guilty and done the right thing much earlier instead of hiding under his mother's wings. Anyways, calling Kang-min annoying is just unfair, if he's annoying then the rest of the characters are just unwatchable.

I haven’t gotten this far in yet but a script can touch on but not always cover the true aspects of mental health…
She is manipulative but if someone slits their wrist in front of me what I'll do is call 911, not leave them there to die. His outburst I get, but not the rest.

It was really odd. What did he think, someone as psychologically troubled as her was going to go to the hospital…
I agreed with you, I said she'd die of bleeding even if someone didn't kill her. His leaving her was odd, he even took his shirt back, slitting the artery causes massive bleeding, she wouldn't survive. But if he resolved the situation himself maturely as you described we wouldn't have the story and he was really young too. The script writers should've made him a bit realistic or responsible by making him check up on her next morning or smth like that...that's what I'm saying.

It was really odd. What did he think, someone as psychologically troubled as her was going to go to the hospital after he dumped her? She'd still be dead if someone didn't kill her.
But waiting for the real killer to finally show up is fun, I can't still guess who it is surely and that's something.

I def like the mystery better, last episode's cheeky romance was a bit hard to chew. And the killer can't be Jo - he's the misdirection. He certainly knows smth about the murder and I can't wait to find out how he is involved. As far as what he did in the present never affected Do-ha in any bad way, he even let Sayon go without much resistance. He is okay. That's how people really are, slightly selfish but not all out evil. I kinda feel bad for him, all these bad things are happening to him and on top of that he's been hiding smth for years. He is a bad appple tbh, I think he knows who killed her and still let Do-ha be the victim of doubt, but I hope we'll get a credible reason. And Kang-min rocks. He's the only part I enjoy without a shred of reservation.
PS: Do-ha better ruminate on what he did by letting that sick brother go free, he went and stabbed another innocent guy.

Was the singer kid the one who got stabbed..? I hope he didn't die I want to see the cute moments of Doha coaching…
It's in 10. The video is deliberately blurry. CEO was indeed in it, that's the favour he did for Do ha.

2ML doing 2ML things (annoying)
What did he do that was so annoying? At least he's really investigating while Do ha's family and friends just buried the incident and masked him as a convict. He himself was hiding all these years instead of clearing things up.

Her dad is a good option, I said it before.
The brother won't be as good, he's too desperately criminal to get on that wave. I mean we already have Do-ha with memory issues, if the brother turns same it'll be like all the characters are amnesiac.

So, here's a theory: that body isn't hers at all. Do-ha's mum's political opponents planted it with that ring. Scratch DNA testing, to the detriment of the Korean Police they'll pursue that couple ring and establish Do-ha did kill her and all that.
I mean I'd hate if the CEO is the killer, anyone but him-_- 2 fishy lines and he's the killer for no real reasons? Please, no! The killer needs to be a real surprise...I'd even take Do-ha tbh.

I felt like some of these theories people are coming up with are either an overstretch or slightly lacking but…
He actually took the shirt back when the ex got all crazy saying how she's gonna be better than his new gf, it was kinda weird since she was still bleeding but I think he took it back. Police probably found it in his laundry when they checked his place in Hakcheon.

I don't think he had any problem with Sol-hi as long as Do-ha kept his mask on and stayed in the company. He was in fact pushing Do-ha to socialise and called her a good person for helping him out and even asked if he is trying to impress her and not in a malicious way. Both he and the mum are involved in evidence tampering and are in risk of being caught, I totally get his shiftiness. What I don't get is why he kept acting like he doesn't trust Do-ha about the murder until last episode and how does he know that Do-ha didn't kill her (bcz I doubt he believes in Do-ha out of some kind of eternal friendship).

A crazy theory came to my mind...lolInitially I thought Duek Chan might not be the murderer, he might just know…
This'd be a very bad twist and he even asked Do-ha playfully before whether he likes Sol-hi. His contempt for their relationship is completely based on Do-ha's decision to leave his company and to continue to stay in that apartment...and he was shocked to see that infidelitious text, but he's the kind that solves things in a backhanded manner, we saw him shop for his wife, cuddle his kid...none of this say he was insincere about his marriage.

Back from ep 16: I mean Lee Jae Seon must be the kindest ex in the history of romance drama...facilitating his love's romantic growth with the most prying cat ever-_-
PS: I understand fantasy dramas offer some fluffs and bizarrely cute moments but any drama have to have a motif that is parallel to life...I sympathize with JS more than any other character in the show (despite him being pretty problematic), the star-crossed cat love just isn't for me. Hong Jo's attachment to Sol-ah is almost engineered to succeed, idk how else you could make it any more inorganic...
