Well the chance is not zero considering there are actually dramas who took this route. Though almost never well-received.
I know but those dramas also like to tease the viewers with the possibility. Do-ha is built as a character to be loved and is literally half of the poster, so I'd be genuinely surprised if he turns out to be the killer and this fluffy drama suddenly turns dark.

At this point I think the only twist that'd rock me of my feet is if Do-ha actually did kill her or smth like that. The directors could laugh at our dumbfounded faces...it'd be sort of chaotic fun.
Ps: Idk why Do-ha stopped Kang-min; that guy's a menace, kidnapped Sayon today will kidnap Sol-hi next, I don't understand-_- Btw, I liked the part where Sayon sings, cabaret looks so fun and she's got groove.

Can't u see it already,2ML is the real hero of this drama.He's amazing, handsome,kind, intelligent,good at fighting…
He should definitely get himself in a police procedural, it'd be so fun. I remember Lee Jin-uk in Voice, though the story wasn't up to per I loved his singular performance. Seo Ji-hun could definitely nail that too, with a good story...uhh, guess I'm asking for too much:3

Back from ep 14: I think they didn't even need Jae Seon's character. His presence doesn't factor in Sol-ah's decisions at all. At least there'd be no pretense of competition between him and the cat. And the painfully shy office lady - god! she's so hard to endure-_-
Freaking cat even stole JS's line-_- (that was clever tbh). I'm not sure what's left to watch in the next 5 hours-_-

ep 12: The bromance works. It really does. Much better than the trying romance.

ps: I'll never understand why she likes Hong Jo. I understand that he likes her, she's special to him but what makes her like him? How is it so easy for her to suddenly be so indifferent to JS in a matter of a couple days? And HJ is intrusive as hell, he spies on her being a cat then acts all understanding as a human. She should be annoyed and suspicions tbh, it's weird af-_- It's not like JS is uncommunicative and HJ is good at that, in fact he's lying every day and she knows nothing about him. God knows what makes him a better attractive choice than JS.

Back from ep 11: I can't believe how Sol-ah is so absolutely over Jae Seon. For 10 years she waited and then came a cat who is also pretending to be her stepbrother fgs (who for all my effort I'm having a hard time liking-_-) and she's magically over her feelings for her first love. If she wants to know something she can ask specific questions or find out through other mediums, after all, they are friends and she knows he's an introvert and debilitatingly so. She is assuming things and constantly hurting Jae Seon. And JS is fuc*ing mute and way too nice and that too at his own detriment-_- The game is literally rigged, if she is not conflicted between the two it's no love triangle at all.

Back from ep 8: Did Jae Seon run away because of a supposed abandoned cat? Fgs-_- That's some deep ass abandonment issue going on there-_- But I still prefer him, he cares but can't share, has a sort of PTSD with words like 'sorry' or 'adoption'... cares about Hong Jo too who could really just be Sol-ah's brother, faic. In any case, gotta think about the fact that to truly care about a cat the story had to turn it into a man, I mean that right there is called irony. But I bet, Kim Myung-Su had a lot of fun playing a cat:)

4 episodes in Hong Jo is kind of getting on my nerves, I have never seen a more invasive little cat-_-, his cuteness disappears as soon as he turns human, I guess knowing that he trumps the triangle from the get-go was a bad idea. Because now I'm having a bad time enjoying the other good performances. And Shi Ye-eun is soo good here. Seo Ji-hun too, he definitely can play silent roles, saying more with less is something truly special in artists.

I just can't get over the fact that FL's chemistry is so much better with 2ML. Cause we at least see some emotions…
For someone who's really enjoying Seo Ji-hun's performance I'd say he has a knack for stealing the show (I just found him here and checked out a few of his previous projects, he's very cool with his supporting roles and really gives his all).
I first got into this drama to check out Hwang Min-hyun and I can't say he is bad, imo he does check out the vibe of the character - naive yet cynical, sensitive yet romantically straightforward, hurt yet willing to recover. I have no complaints against his chemistry with Kim So-hyun either. It's just that Seo Ji-hun is very good and I find myself looking forward to more of him in the drama. I wish they'd focus on him as a detective too since on the romance part it's already sort of a lost game, despite his pining being pretty compelling. Maybe Do-ha and Kang-min could have their own dynamic to take the story forward. Idk, Lee Kang-min is a very well-rounded character too, so expecting a little growth on his part would not be a crime I guess:)

Why would he die?
I think it's a joke...a lot of Seo Ji-hun led characters in the past suffered tragic endings.

I totally agree with you! Especially with the remark. I think she can only hear that someone is not speaking 'their'…
@Bex99 Right? I mean what possible reason can there be for killing someone?-_- For not wanting to marry - many, but how can killing someone be something ambiguous? I mean if she was smart she'd think about guilt and other factors, but she didn't and yet decided to trust him when she knows he's lying - it was odd af.
Also as a human lie detector she should have a deeper philosophical understanding of truths and lies and facts, she's not a kid and she lived with this power her whole life. It can't possibly be only now that she realizes people lie for all kinds of reasons and that someone's truth can be another person's lie.

My thoughts after 8 episodes:Kim Do ha has really bad luck with woman. Mom, selfish. First girlfriend, clingy…
That's what lying is, intentionally distorting something you know/believe to be true. Otherwise it'd be called reality/fact detection power. If someone said something wrong even if he believed it to be true she'd hear the bell. Instead she does detect lies. Also Do-ha thinks he's telling the truth, the facts, but in his heart he believes that he is responsible for his ex's death, thus the bell.

I'm kind of grateful for the review by Imadenop. Massively helped me minimize my expectations. Because the show seems really promising at the beginning. I won't go as far as to say the last 2 episodes, actually it's the last 15 minutes that makes a complete fool out of this supposedly 'clever' show. The entire fuc*ing school lied to the police for no real reasons-_- For god's sake, how did anybody buy this crappy ending?

Do people REALLY think it's ok for the sml to hide things, make decisions on behalf of the fl bc apparently he…
Nobody thinks it's okay. But it's so easy to understand where he's coming from. He didn't want Sol-hi to suffer, he said it'd be tougher to see that while he's also possibly dying. He can't just keep the hope of marriage alive when he's this sick. And maybe with time he would've told her but she was onto him and she ended things which made avoiding this conversation all too easy for Kang-min. It was a wrong decision but his intention was not. And I like Kang-min a lot, doesn't mean I'm hoping he and Sol-hi will get back together. The point of a chracter like him is to show how much Sol-hi likes Do-ha and how much she has actually moved on. Bcz there he is, her first serious love, redeemed of anything he may have done wrong and she never thought of him as a future possibility. It's also sad bcz he was only a little late, Kang-min lost her by a very thin margin.

Facts maybe irrelevant to you but not to me. Also this is my first time seeing Seo Ji-hun and he's an incredible actor imo. And idk what your points are. Her mother is a fraudster ok but I don't see her threatening Sol-hi. How's Kang-min supposed to protect her from her mother? It's none of his business, nor is it going to be Do-ha's. And he got cancer he thought he might die, and Sol-hi was mad about how he was spending so little time and how he doesn't want to get married anymore...a rational person would ask why but she went and ambushed him and I understand why she did that but it's not all Kang-min's fault. And he was toying with the idea of contacting her after the break up but he took it upon himself to not see her suffer bcz of him, he thought it would be less painful for her than being betrayed by him, well he lost her so I think there's not much to hold against him. And him asking her friends about her whereabouts is no violation of police codes nor is him being transferred there. He would've contacted more formally but they had their chance meeting. He's such a decent character and I don't think he's delusional enough to think Sol-hi is coming back to him, even during such a heartbreak he pushed her towards how she feels and joked about it, idk how you find problems in him.

He's the most green flag personality on this drama. He crossed no lines. He didn't track her or anything, he got in touch with her friends as I remember to figure out where and how she is and then got himself transferred there. His illness was a big shock for him and he was taking time but Sol-hi (who btw withheld that she can detect lies) was the one who pushed and broke up. Now honesty is always preferable but it's not always easy. Sometimes people lie to protect others. He considered that she may have moved on that's why didn't even contact her so yeah maybe he wished to reunite but not forgetting his place. And Sol-hi's a grown up, she doesn't need saving from her mother. He's in all shape perfect but time matters and he just lost his chance. Feeling bad for him is the only natural reaction imo. Plus Seo Ji-hun is incredibly good at portraying all those feelings without being loud, I'm almost torn to see him sidelined in a story which is so decidedly not his.

People should cut the CEO some slack...he clearly cares about Do-ha, he's the one who was trying to convince him to live a normal life, it's Sayon who ruined things. Tbh everything he does logically makes sense, he's trying to protect his company, his talents and also save Do-ha from that psycho. If he doesn't trust Sol-hi we can't blame him, Do-ha just met her. And I doubt he killed the girl at the beach, if he did he'd not just mistakenly call Do-ha a murderer. This theory is such a stretch... But the mystery lost it's momentum, so we're sure Do-ha is probably just guilty about what he said and blames himself and the girl already cut her wrist... What's left of the twist is where the body is or whether she's still alive. 8 more episodes to figure that out while the psychotic brother terrorizes our leads? I hope Kang-min gets the psycho in the next ep-_-
