What sort of extremely horrific relationship does Taeahla and Tagon have?
It's beyond what our little brains can comprehend-_- They fight when they don't need to, they are together when Tagon goes on a killing spree.

Just cz I gotta rant...-_-
So, exactly why did Tanya need to do all that before Inaishingi reached the city? If he got in first she could've brought out the Whisper peeps and easily taken over the city...what was all that stupidity for? She got ministers killed, soldires killed, her priests killed and the rare few good Wahan people killed for no reason. Her dad was the stupidest character of all...he literally doesn't make sense. I was almost happy when he fell to death.
And the queen couldn't lock up her 8 years old kid?-_- Also what's her problem? It's okay if Tagon tries to kill her and everybody else, but others can't?-_- And she had so much time to tell her crazy husband that Saya is alive but didn't, I mean if your plan is to hurt Tanya how can you forget about the dude who chose death over hurting her?-_-
And how many ways the dumping of the deadly poison could've been stopped? 1. Saya let the evilest guy in all of Arthdal shake a bell that was clearly a sign for someone to do something. You ask him to drop everything, every weapon or you kill his kid! That's how you threaten someone fgs-_- 2. There was that royal guard who was there to do the dumping, Tanya could've told him the deal. Now Tagon is fucking crazy, but the residents of Arthdal are not (bet they don't wanna die of poisoning). He was standing right in front of her, but she kept pleading to the crazy-_-
Karat was such a nice character this season, but nothing nice survives much longer in this show-_-
Btw, SSK's Tanya literally have more chemistry with Yang Cha than the heroes of the show. LJG's facial expression is so animated and has such a range, she seems literally a statue in comparison. In other cases, I had to convince myself that she's supposed to sport a straight face to induce confidence, but boy! as the girl that captured the hearts of the central characters she's seriously lacking-_- I don't even like Tanya as a character, on top of that her bad acting-_- (I mean Idk I read somewhere that 4, 5 main characters die in the finale (and I was like it has '5' main characters-_-), I was instantly ready to let her go, I only felt bad for the boys a little, she's their prize but she always felt so expendable. Ji Won's version was too cold (more morally ambiguous I guess), she had nice chemistry with EunSeom (but I didn't like SJK's goody two shoes EunSeom), SSK's version is - as I mentioned - too bland, and I so don't buy her sacrifice. Maybe Ji Won could've pulled that off, garnering a little sympathy for her saintly death but all it signified to me was the loss of EunSeom and Saya who loved her, nothing more).
I was writing this in real time, so Tanya's not dead (and turns out the only major character that died is Tagon-_-), they pulled a sleeping beauty and EunSeom lost his dream connection with Saya or smth (bcz how else to explain what is shown-_-) Turns out Taealha didn't brainwash Arok into thinking Arthdal is his birthright. And they def want to make another season if viewer demand is strong. And I love Saya and LJG enough to probably torture myself into watching another season but hate the story and Tanya enough to never go near. Lee Jun Gi should look for better projects, he's so wasted in this-_- He rocked the look, the duality (I endured 4 seasons of crap just to check him out, so he had to deliver or I'd die-_- (I still missed SJK's Saya at times)) but the story is basically an incoherent mess without any emotional truth or logic.

Oh my god, I so agree. Not sure how better this was, I mean the production quality is a lot better, visually I…
True. The stupidest part is half the things they do don't make a single bit of sense. I mean they can be bad, they can be cunning, manipulative, power hungry but the things they do...they kill people like they're ants. Someone smart would figure out a way to be a King without the bloodshed, they act like they can get away with anything. It's a stupid world where the sufferings of the general public is not a factor. People here are incapable of having a mind, mass dissatisfaction isn't a thing. I mean, I'd talk about self-interest if the things Tagon did benefitted him, he just kept losing with every move, the mad king vibe suited him bcz all his actions are just stupid. The more he kills the more people should be against him...this just doesn't apply in this drama😑
In Arthdal people hate the Igutus, when they found out that the people killing king is an Igutu, shouldn't the people hate him more? Shouldn't their confirmation bias kick in to make them believe 'this is how Igutus are, bloodthirsty, evil'? Instead, a stupid minister shares a stupid anecdote about locusts and that's it-_-
And the way this Asa clan and its priests lie out of their every orifice🙄 No tact, they just come up with contradictory oracles every day and people just believe them, like seriously-_-

Definitely better than Part 1, 2 and 3.However, still messy as hell. The writing of the characters is just as…
Oh my god, I so agree.
Not sure how better this was, I mean the production quality is a lot better, visually I mean. The story is as fucked up as before. For 2 episodes I thought damn, did it manage to improve? But unfortunately, no. LJG is good, especially as Eunseom, I missed SJK's Saya a little. SSK is underwhelming, if she didn't look so priestly it would've been hard to endure her. It's really hard to care about Tagon and Taealha no matter how good their acting is. As you said, the writers are the one who needed to be fired to save this mess of a show.

Saya was since season 1 though.
Oh he is bothered by his brother's existence and Tanya's love for him (you say since season 1 but he found out at the last moment of the final episode) but not his success. I thought he'd immediately identify Eunseom as someone to eliminate, figure out plans to use him, especially since Eunseom so conveniently turned out to be Arthdal's main rival. Instead, he's moved by the loyalty of Ago tribe who started to dismantle as soon as Eunseom disappeared🙄. I mean I'd buy it if he was surprised by the idea of unconditional love but he, by virtue of being Saya, should also be aware that this love is for his brother who is selling war to a tribe rife with bad blood. It shouldn't have been that easy for Eunseom to have him by his side.

Saya was since season 1 though.
He is weaker physically. Not in any other way. But this season Eunseom is better at manipulation than him. I agree Saya doesn't seem smart but that's only bcz of his sheltered existence (he has no idea of how people think) and bcz of what he wants (he loves chaos, he wants to be feared, he messed up Tagon's careful plan last season for no real reason). Now, in 8 years he seems cornered, failed and damn, he broke into sobs thinking of dead children-_- It's so not him. At least, I don't like. If it was needed for him to soften, more was needed to convince viewers.

Saya was since season 1 though.
What? Felt inferior?
He was hurt and only really cared about Tanya. Other than that he was pretty fuc*ing crazy. Exactly what I loved about him. In this one, he's too loud. And as of ep 7 seems to have taken Eun Seom's side. He had a deadly chaotic character, and for one episode LJG got a little chance of being that but now he's this sobby, mushy, emotional, predictable, weaker brother.

Okay, I was hasty in my judgement of LJG's Saya. My fave character of the show, and he does him justice. The writers...they could've toned down the inferiority complex a little, he's not the type to be so obviously bothered by his brother's success. SJK was fun as Saya, but LJG's no less.

PS: So after a fun episode 6, Saya is totally converted with a sobby tantrum. I just can't-_- Why they gotta ruin the only character I love?-_-

they did not become foe out of nowhere though. lack of trust ingrained deep inside since the begining of their…
If the whys are not answered it's no plot at all. Or is it just an account of random shits that happened in a vacuum? Why don't you explain the two big af plot holes I just mentioned?
And Tagon did not forgive her? Whatever happened to him, Taealha had very little to contribute to that. Just bcz things eventually ended up where he did not want to go, does not mean it's her fault. She trusted in him way too many times for that. And what her father said to her - that Tagon will not share power - how was that enough to sway her? The guy is a compulsive liar and says whatever suits him. Tagon promised Mihol safety on account of him helping Tagon get out of the trial, Mihol behind his back did everything to stop that. It was by chance that Tanya turned out to be an actual seer. Then this shithole was surprised that Tagon went back on his promise.
Let's count the leverages Tagon have on Taealha. None.
On the other hand, Taealha knows the most damaging secret about him. Tagon was in no way betraying her. Not enough for her to instantly turn into a rival after such a long journey together (and fgs, if she wanted to save her father she could do that too. She blackmailed Tagon anyway🙄). It just doesn't make sense, this isn't the only instance. You have to suspend all kinds of disbelief to watch this show. My point in asking the question was to see how other people found this complete incoherence, not to see how they defend it.

Exactly my point. Taealha was never quite that important as a political piece, Tagon wanted to have whatever was coming with her bcz he loved her. Same was for her. He made no promises of keeping the Hae tribe safe, and why should he? Mihol would keep plotting no matter what considering his track record and all the other tribe leaders were killed and suppressed too (in fact why wasn't he at that cemetery to listen to Tagon's confession?) Plus Taealha could've just had a talk with him. Why was she so enraged? Her father deserved to be locked up long before. She could've convinced Tagon how unwise Saya is, tbh why does she feel the need to keep anything from Tagon? She knows his deep dark secret; he can at least have one. Her anger does not make sense. And her dad's noble death was literally inedible-_- Tagon is emotional, after a certain point everything he did was about hiding who he is, there was nothing shrewd about him. So idk why she took it so hard, betraying her tribe and betraying her isn't the same. Her tribe was betraying him all along, it's getting back at the most. And all these happened in days after risking her life to save him from the Shahatiis. Why would she even let Saya get into this equation? Where tf was she? It simply doesn't make sense, it was a U turn that had no build up, no logic - neither political nor emotional.

Oh yes, I also miss the Chaeeun from season 1. She really shone, even with her limited screen time. I also liked…
God I just remembered how much I hated him. His actions made 0 sense. In the span of an episode, he betrayed Eunseom like thrice (that too by staging a fall in front of a raging bear so he could stab him?🙄) But to have him as his trusted ally to convey the contrast and the history between them, yeah, I'd have liked the previous actor.

I'm so disappointed by SSK. I'm not fond of the plot, it was only watchable bcz the acting is good and she ruins this last redeeming point. She met ES after 8 years and LJG goes to lengths to bring out the intensity of the moment, and her expression is just so underwhelming-_- I mean, she should be taken aback that Saya suddenly hugged her, the annoyance was reminiscent of a previous hug (but did nothing change between them in 8 years?) but the moment he reveals that he's Eunseom shouldn't she be more shocked, sadder, happier, more worried, more of everything really? Shouldn't her entire body react? I was so sad seeing how the scene ended bcz the beginning was pretty epic.

I’m having difficulty watching this cause I have forgotten the whole story line of the first season and I just…
It's not that important, there's a catch-up animated intro that fills you up, character details show up at the bottom. Unless you're too prickly about remembering every detail this should work. The story's not worth a rewatch even if we live 200 years-_-

No seriously what trust issue? She wanted him to be a king more than he wanted to be one. Her dad is a literal shitball (at least Tagon's dad said sorry, Mihol acted righteous till the end as if making his own daughter a spy who sells sex is nothing-_-) and in death he's suddenly good? And why wasn't Taealha there when Tagon's infection worsened? She was always around before (as if they lived together), in that crucial af time it's Saya who looks after him? Weird. We all know why they had to get into a power struggle out of nowhere, Tagon doesn't have anyone else against him. So they forced her to be one-_- By all means, Tanya was a better candidate, but to do that they'd need to use a few braincells.
They still did not explain who that random guy in the Asa shrine was who hummed Tagon's tune which so conveniently convinced Taealha to side with Tagon in the trial. The writing is seriously bad. And I thought it got better this season, but it's not even epi 5 and the show's falling in its old track-_-

The only actress I really miss is the one who played Chaeeun. I liked her, she brought a presence for her small screentime.

I'm only reminded of Ji Won bcz Sae Kyeong is so lacking in expression for Tanya's character (her chemistry with Eunseom too is a little off bcz of that-_-). And little bit of Song Joon Ki in Saya, I mean LJG is good (I dream of him playing an antihero), but I liked the undercurrent of psychotic madness in the more subtle, low voiced Saya. And as blown off as I was by the first two episodes, at episode 5 this show is back to its stupid old track of unbelievably bad writing.

Why did they change the costume of the MoMo tribe? The one in season one was Nice, fierce and scary. Their faces…
Last season they changed their flag overnight, maybe they just got tired of the makeup in 8 years-_-

Like very bad decision. The drama has the opportunity to become of the best in kdrama. But some cast change spoilt…
I love Joon Gi (practically the reason why I got into the show), but Shin Sae Kyoung was just too bland, all this drama has is acting, it just can't survive her I feel like-_-

Ahh...makes sense. The plot was a mess but they were still so committed, I couldn't figure out what the problem was.
