I was researching and saw that in 2019 a spy drama with the exact same name came out (Awakening / 觉醒). In that 2019 one, the story was about an agent who loses his memory in Shanghai in the 1930s and needs to recover his identity while dealing with rivalries and love for his country.
Since Rui's new one is also in this spy/military category, I was wondering if it could be a reinterpretation/new adaptation or if it's just a coincidence of title and a completely new work (since the one you posted has all this 'Abyss' and virology vibe).
