That ending made zero sense, and the logic was inconsistent, but nonetheless I enjoyed it. Movie kinda went into overdrive in the second half with too many twists. I was surprisingly entertained by the straightforward plot, didn't necessarily root for any of the characters, but was curious to see how the lead would try to escape from someone with an upper hand. Appreciated the acting of both FLs, while one role was more flashy than the other I thought they were almost equally good.

Just finished it. Now I get why they called it a special episode, rather than a movie. It's a dark origin story, a short prequel pretty much. I'm still thinking about how I should rate this, because I can't really apply the same standards as a regular drama/film for this.

Yes, it's a prequel/sidequel. Presumably about what happened from before season 1 till the end of season 2, from the perspective of new character(s).

Also I'm not sure who Jun Jihyun's character is after, but it looks more like she will become a villain or some sort of half-villain. This is probably setting up for a major conflict between her and the prince gang in season 3. Seems like her village was either infected or attacked/killed so she's taking revenge and raising a zombie army? Something tells me she's gonna get involved with some other character(s) from season 1/2, maybe even appear at the kingdom. Who knows, we might get some cameos from our original cast but they're keeping it secretive.

I don't think this is getting as much hype as the first 2 seasons since the main story arc is resolved, but I have a good feeling about this. Seeing the teaser, the vibes are very different and storytelling/character development seems to be the main focus. Which is what was lacking in season 2 imo.

Anyway she's not obligated to reveal her private affairs to the public and I hope this damn YT channel gets taken down already. It's not the first time they're getting sued for spreading false information.

If I'm not wrong, this drama isn't co-produced by iQIYI, they just bought the overseas broadcasting rights. At least from wiki, they aren't under the production companies list.

This drama is solid but I won't say it's perfect, or a masterpiece. I did not like some parts of the writing, especially the revelations. It boggles me how it took the characters that long to realise it was the killer caught on the CCTV footage. It also turned me off that the killer was revealed so suddenly and his downfall was due to one mistake. But I'll give it to them, I was not expecting it to be him (I thought it would be Si-mok's lawyer classmate). I also generally enjoyed the slower pacing of the drama with most dialogue serving a purpose to the plot.

The lead actors were good and Bae Doona is so charming in a way that you would want to be friends with her.

The execution of this series was great, ep3 was a huge shock and left me speechless. I loved the perspectives of why some ppl were desperate to live and return to the real world while some were having the time of their life because they basically could press restart from their previous shitty lives.

However I was expecting more from the games, imo the first 3 games were good but the bus game was frustrating (how no one attempted to intelligently solve it), and I'm not sure if the light bulb game was original, but I actually heard it before and it kind of turned me off. Still I guess I can't complain if the show is staying true to the source material. And the last arc basically confirmed that the number doesn't really represent difficulty but how high the chance that the players will fuck up is.

I had a bad feeling that I would dislike the ending but I surprising liked it. Looking forward to season 2.

Interesting, so what's written in the synopsis is just the backstory. Now this got me curious about how it’s possible for different timelines to intersect, supposedly without a fantasy element.

THEORY: Ju Jihoon can see flashbacks of how people were killed on the mountain because he somehow encountered them before they died but has amnesia, and he regains these memories gradually. He becomes a ranger to search the mountain for answers. This becomes the central plot as the JJHs find clues throughout different episodes of rescuing people and ultimately solve the mystery. (This gives a similar structure to Signal)

Same! I'm not sure if I like how they are making the DID guy a complete psycho antagonist probably for season 2. He was a very interesting character in the webtoon.
