I don't know what is in your mind but the majority of single parents rather not be single parenting. I know

Regardless, even if the child is raised by a single parent, it is illegal for the other to not provide child support. A toxic environment is forced no matter if you want it or not.

I expected not to like it cause of the melodrama tag. Surprisingly it's okay. It's a bit different from the usual period dramas but still has the resemblance of one.

The palace grounds are liveliiest in this drama that i've seen

Who the writer chooses to villainize in the show are most times very petty. Like for example the gym person. The FL didn't get her way, therefore, the gym person is a villain. Instead of it being foreshadowing, it just becomes plot convenience.
