A lot of people here hate SR, but I'm with you on this. I really don't see what gives the daughter the right to…
So she wasnāt supposed to save a young childās life? Jini doesnāt have to blindly take her momās side. Seriās feelings are understandable, but denying a child help over unrelated resentment was still wrong.
I donāt think Jini has anything to reflect on,she did nothing wrong. Seri took things too far by acting like Jini had abandoned or betrayed her, when Jini simply wanted to save a childās life and move on. Jini only reacted emotionally after Seri tried to take her own life, and she had every right to be angry.
I think many kids struggle because theyāre taught to prioritize family and elders over their own sense of right and wrong. Letting them speak up without guilt would create healthier relationships and prevent resentment.

kr! I hate how people forget everything when it comes to parents and expect children to be nice no matter what. Thatās just not how it should be. Children donāt have to be nice or respectful when their parents are behaving in a harmful way, imo. All that does is build up resentment. And tbh, the parents may not even realize how harmful their behavior is if the child keeps tolerating it.

Seriās character is portrayed as someone who is immature and dependent on her husband. Iām not saying the husband isnāt at fault btw, because heās probably the worst of them all considering how badly he handled everything, but you also canāt deny that Seri basically just played the cello and left everything else, including raising Jini, to him. Even she admitted that her dad knew better about what happened with Jini when she was being bullied, which kind of hints that Seri mostly went with the flow and never really got involved when it came to raising her family. Sheād also throw tantrums whenever things didnāt go her way and constantly used the first wife as an excuse for her paranoia, even though deep down she knew she was in the wrong.
Jini, meanwhile, is taking accountability for her parentsā actions, which is why she struggles to stand up for herself when it comes to the first wifeās family. Their initial treatment of her was obviously wrong, but it wasnāt for no reason either. Sheās the daughter of the mistress who ruined their mom and their lives, after all, so I can understand why Jini feels guilty about it, but she did stand up for herself when they were excessively mean to her.
That being said, Jini did stand up for her mom when Mai wanted their house and was being mean to Seri. So I think Jiniās treatment of her mom is justified cause she is only rude to her mother, when she takes things to the extreme. Seri was immature and arrogant in how she handled everything, from the money to the bone marrow transplant..Jini staying quiet will only enable her mom's behaviour making it difficult for the both of them, because Seri needs to be smarter and mature, esp now that her husband is not here to take care of her.
Ru fr real ššā¦ she was nice to her mom but mean wn her mom actually did bad things. Thatās how a good…
I agree! Someone has to knock some sense into Seri. People like her often overlook criticism from strangers because of their āI donāt care what people think of meā attitude, which can be a good thing, but can also turn into narcissism. I think when someone they care about calls them out, theyāre more likely to realize how bad their behavior really is.
